  1. I totally agree. I think the Witchlings are by far some of the best 4 point models not only in the Guild but in any faction really. I haven't tried them with the Handler yet but I really want to. I'll run 3 of them in a lot of lists and they have never failed me. Great CB stats, ranged and melee, magic weapons, and the death eruption all pressed into 4 points? Yes please.
  2. I have to totally agree. Pick up the starter boxes and you have all the models you need really to play around with lists all good models I will use almost all those models from time to time.
  3. You might also try something like I run if you still want to play high point games but use less models. I have been trying out a very tough list with a very low model count. I'm currently running... Perdita Sam Hopkins Pale Rider Nino Ryle It's 5 models and they do have trouble with strategies. But like it was mentioned before I find this list tends to kill almost all if not all of my opponents models with some really tough focused fire. Last game was vs Vikkies, Trapper, Librarian, Student of Conflics, Taylor and Von Shill. I managed to kill ever model on the table minus the Student and I only lost the Pale Rider. As well as Perdita was standing in my deployment with the treasure chest. I'll usully go with schemes like Kill Protoge and Assasinate or Hold Out. As I tend to have to kill the master and or biggest beast on the table anyway and hold out works becasue nothing can usually get across the board against that firing squad.
  4. Humm for me I think I like a Witchling at 4 more then Santi for 5 points. I used to run everyone and try to obey the crap out of Nino but I find just keeping the high :masks to trigger trigger happy works better for me personally. With 2 actions and many masks he can take out 2 targets without to much trouble.
  5. I have to echo what everyone here is staying. For me personlly I love Perdita she was my first and most played master still. But for me Nino is the only Ortega I take with her anymore. Generally I'll run a heavy gunline of Ryle/Nino/Pale Rider and Sam Hopkins with her at 35ss. IF you want to go cheaper I find that for me the Witchling Stalkers are by far some of the best 4 point models the Guild can get their hands on. IF you want to stay way from the 7 and 8SS models go with some of the Stalkers and a Handler.
  6. Isn't Sommer's Box something like 16 or 17SS as well?
  7. Yeah at this point my list I have been having fun with at 35SS already feels like the Expendables I have been running Perdita, Nino, Ryle, Sam Hopkins and the Pale Rider. So yeah being able to swap Sidir in that list for Sam or Ryle will be fun. Either way he'll be a very fun addition to my Guild lines.
  8. I use Ryle a lot but it sounds like this guy will be replacing him in most of my builds where I have the 8 Points normally set aside for Ryle.
  9. Linking to Ryle would be interesting because with Ryle every turn you could use his 0 ability to push away from the closest living model which would be the Drill Sargent every turn, then the Drill Sargent would snap to his base. So you could make sure you could steer Ryle where you needed him.
  10. On the cards under the name of the model will list anything important like in the case of the Austringer it says Guardsman. Or for example under Nino it says Unique and Family (this is how you know you can only have one Nino in your crew and that he can companion with the rest of the Perdita crew).
  11. He is saying drop the Drill Sargent and put in the Governor's Proxy. He is a generic totem so he can be attached to any master. As for how the Austringer activates, the Captain can activate him because the Austringer counts as a Gaurdsman as well.
  12. The option could be there to make the rifle a once per turn type of action rather then a weapon that can be used all the time.
  13. Von Shill is just a beast, that guy can be where ever you need him. If you want to shoot then assault them I would go with Ryle, but Nino will shoot more then Ryle. That 16" is just tops and with the right cards endles trigger happys is just to fun.
  14. Nino or Ryle would work well for that, as menioned Nino is Way better than Hans.
