blkdymnd
So, when I first saw Dreamer and Lord Chompy Bits, it kept ringing familiar with me. Then, when I was watching my 5 year old one day, I figured out why. Because the model completely reminds me of Sully and Boo! So, I will be doing my Lord Chompy Bits as Sully and Boo. I've started the skintones tonight and will be getting the purple spots laid out soon. It was a no brainer to me since the relationship between Sully & Boo and Lord Chompy Bits & Dreamer were pretty similar. Sully would pop out of Boo's closet as a monster in her dreams, and Lord Chompy Bits pops out of Dreamers head as he dreams. And the way both Dreamer and Boo are carried around is incredibly similar. So, here we go. Here is the WIP so far: I'll keep this updated as I go....

KirigakurenoHaku
So, I must ask, can we expect to see the Dreamer with pigtails? You know, I don't know that the Dreamer would enjoy your comparison at all; if I recall it correctly, he finds girls to be icky.
blkdymnd
that is true, and yes I am thinking the pigtails route and giving Dreamer an overall sex change
KirigakurenoHaku
that is true, and yes I am thinking the pigtails route and giving Dreamer an overall sex change Other than the pigtails, the cut of his hair is virtually the same as Boo's. I think that this could make a cute twist of the Dreamer.

blkdymnd
Im waiting for a paint recipe on Sully's hair... I had thought about greenstuffing some hair onto Lord Chompy, but figured it would take too long and not sure my feeble greenstuffing skills were up to the task. The build on the skintones so far is Vallejo Scurf Green, PP's Meredius Blue, and PP's Arcane Blue. I may do one final highlight to lighten up the skin a bit more, not sure yet. I'll decide once I get the purple spots on.
Wyrrn
Are you going to put a door on the base of The Dreamer? That would fit the theme.
blkdymnd
I've been seriously considering it. Anyone know of any 28-30mm door bitz?

ispep
I've been seriously considering it. Anyone know of any 28-30mm door bitz? Doors are incredibly easy to make. Its just a rectangle with a frame and a knob. So far the fig looks great, and I love the idea. Is he really that dark though, or is it a lighting issue? blkdymnd
That's a perfect door! And in response to LCB's darkness. It is lighting. He is a bit brighter
Omenbringer
I've been seriously considering it. Anyone know of any 28-30mm door bitz? Just make your own with Balsa Wood, it really isn't that hard (as you can see in my profile Pic)
AvatarForm
In response to your ACTUAL question! http://www.knuckleduster.com/store/cart.php?target=category&category_id=31 Very good. I was thinking of using a spare door from my WFB - Siege defenders castle kit... but it was too small for Teddy to come through.
AvatarForm
Just make your own with Balsa Wood, it really isn't that hard (as you can see in my profile Pic) That is a good start, just remember to make the door as real as possible. Pillars then lintle. Handle at an appropriate level, not merely central. If you want it open, add a backing and black it out, never see through. blkdymnd
Spots are done and the final blue skin highlight was put on tonight. Time to start working in the details on LCB to tie it altogether and then work on Boo.
FacelessMage
Dang I found this thread too late to offer fur suggestions. Use static grass. When you do it right it ends up sticking out straight and looks like fur/hair. The guys at local hobby shop did that for spider hair on sheeob (sp?) the giant spider from lord of the rings. It looks Really good.
Extinction Angel
Wow, this is a really great idea and it's coming along very well. Keep up the work, can't wait to see how it turns out.

Doctor Warlock
The Knucleduster stuff is 28mm, it states it under each individual description.
Shinigami
yes the knuckleduster one says so, but the store i linekd to (was mentioned on the knuckledusters site) is for 25mm western buildings, so iam curious if it would fit, cause its pretty neat stuff but id hate to order it and pay large shippign stuff (iam in europe) to find out it looks silly... again, nice LCB and sry for hijacking
