  1. For those who use it or have used it, is anyone else getting the Bandwidth message? Any idea's about when this might be fixed? I use that tool a lot as it helps me speculate future crews and games with friends. Also will it get updated for the new models? Just curious as, again, it's a very helpful tool.
  2. I chose my name because it's simple. I've always like the name Blank because I feel like it signifies a blank canvas, because I am an artist. You can do anything and everything with a blank sheet of paper. Though the artist thing only just started but when I chose the name, it was simply because I liked the very simple name. In the miniature community, I am known as "Blank".
  3. I have to agree with him on liking Soda Pop Mini's. Plus I really would like to play Super Dungeon.
  4. I don't know if anyone has seen these yet or if this has been posted but I figured I would share. http://www.microartstudio.com/index.php/news,85 It would be at the top. The lamps. They're pretty nice looking and would look nice on some terrain or maybe integrated into some bases. Edit: Here's a link for bigger pictures. 5. Some will tell you that SPA's in the beginning are amazing. Others will say they are rubbish in the beginning and your better off creating them. What is comes down to is that it's a good idea to play a few games with and without them to see if you like either. Now considering you told us your going to be playing these games tomorrow, there's only so much advice we might be able to give. I, for one, am not a seasoned Levi player. Though, he is my main Master. I can't really speak for your list as I am not one who uses SPA's in the beginning, nor have I played with Bete because there's a few other models I like to use out of the ba-jillion you can choose from with Leveticus. Jack Daw, Killjoy, The Hanged, Teddy, Necropunks, and Punk Zombies. Jack - because he really has quite a bit of synergy with Levi and Alyce and his drawbacks really aren't that bad when you think about them. Killjoy - is just a tank used to force your opponent to concentrate on the big scary model, while Levi works his magic. The Hanged - work well but for the most part I just like them so I use them whenever I can. Teddy - .. well he's just fun to play and he's so fluffy (obviously Jack or Bete are a better choice for 9ss ) Necro's - for objectives and Punk Zombies - for nice well rounded 5ss models. Phew, sorry that's so long. Haven't posted in awhile. But that's just my two cents.
  6. That's good. It's been around the low 80's in Orlando. Down around 60 at nights. Could probably use a little rain as we haven't had any lately. Probably a good idea. I played WoW for years before finally deciding I was spending too much money on it. Besides, if I even tried to pick it up again, I'd never get any work done... ever.
  7. I'm good. Nathan, I hope you wouldn't have been in said pile up. Those are always ... interesting to watch. I'm basically sitting in one of Computer Animation classes. It's a little boring at the moment.
  8. Everyone good? Me too. Just thought I'd post a really basic thread. Starting some general discussion. Anyone have some interesting news lately? Maybe something going on in your area? Or maybe talk about world news?
  9. Wow, yes, bookmarked. Thank you very much. I will be using this not only in mini's but in my classes as well.
  10. This might be just me, but I foresee Making Ends Meet as a pretty hefty downfall to the DM's. I mean, I understand they get bonuses and are an easy way to bring in Killjoy but it's pretty tough to convince me on them in a low SS crew. Levi and the Viks have quite a few options but the minions can be expensive. In my Levi crews, it's tough to get more than 3-4ss. (Not that Levi needs them, though)
  11. Honestly, I agree. As a Computer Animation major, I can see how easy it is to become addicted to all the cool things these programs can do, but most of it is not miniature savvy, or friendly for that matter. I like the style, I like the wings. It makes for a very interesting concept. However, the giant antlers kill the entire piece for me. Regardless of the whole "forest" theme.
  12. You might have to hold Jack Daw down to get him in one but .... oh wait.... my bad. (I'm sorry. What I meant to say was, it's just awful how they left poor Jack)
  13. Personally to me, it is what it is. I think it makes the Outcast more appealing. The fact that Levi can die at will makes me less afraid of anything my opponent attempts to do or even his models in play. It's just interesting when you play a game that actually incorporates death, rather than making it such a bad thing. You get to include it in strategy and as I said earlier, it makes you want to take on anything your opponent lays before you. Bring it, Nekima! Just my two cents.
  14. Outcasts. Leveticus stole my soul so he kind of calls the shots. (Signature) I tell him over and over, that necromancy stuff will get him killed, but he never seems to listen to me.
  15. Quick spot: The Hooded Rider is 8ss. Isn't he?
  16. That might make this sort of list a bit confusing. I like this list in the sense that it's a broad list of all the models Levi has at his disposal. It's easy to navigate and helps players understand just who Levi is legally aloud to bring. Besides, Levi works with who, Hoffman and Ramos. Two totems. :vb_tongue My opinion, of course. EDIT: SPA's are Insignificant, btw. Addition to the list.
  17. My guess is: Hoffman Guardian Hunter Watcher x2 That is of course, if they only put in RP stuff. If they put models in from book one or other factions, then I have no clue. Peacekeeper wouldn't be too bad in the box. Though, he'll turn out like Marcus and only have 4 models to work with. Not sure about Ryle as he's part of the Elite Division. He might come in that set instead of Hoffman's.
  18. I wouldn't be surprised if Wyrd was popping open the champagne bottles already. When you stop and think about it, Wyrd has around 144 models in book one (counting alt sculpts, Hooded Rider and give or take a few models). I'd say that's something to celebrate. Getting all those models out in just a few years time? Not to mention releasing a new book and models to go with it. On top of managing us crazy forums posters with all our logical, complexing, and mind boggling questions about your superb game called Malifaux. Bravo, Wyrd, bravo. :congrats: :peace:
  19. Not necessarily. I was just wondering where I could find miniatures to paint. For example, I'm a Marvel/DC fan so I was looking for metal/resin models I could paint. I understand Hero Clix can be repainted but I feel like there are very flimsy or just tough to paint (visual opinion). Wow. Excellent. Perfect. This is exactly what I was talking about. I will also check out Pulp City that you guys are talking about. Is it an actual game? By the way, for reference, here's the picture which started my whole thought process: http://www.coolminiornot.com/258851
  20. Are there any companies out there that produce superhero models? I'm just curious because I've seen people painting, say like, Iron Man (on CMON). But I didn't know if these are actual miniatures or people have made it or something. Ideas?
  21. Alright. I apologize. I mis-read Bad Juju. He is summoned 7" away from an enemy. But none the less, I agree with Wodschow and Karn. To help everyone understand, look, Juju has to be at least 7" away from an enemy model right? That's puts the distance between you and an enemy at 7"? Fair enough, but when you measure your distance on Landslide, mathematically, you will not have touched the enemy's base. You would need like, 1/10 of an inch to reach their model, maybe not even that. I apologize if that makes it very technical but we are talking about killing a players core master in one turn. I'd be pretty precise. Also, say you do hit them. As ice said, most Levi players will somehow create 2 waifs. For this exact reason. One waif makes the game for the Levi player way to risky. These are, of course, just my personal opinions. Nothing personal towards anyone. I'm just trying to defend Levi so my friend who has Bad Juju can't wipe me out in one turn.
  22. Oh wow. Haha that's really awesome. I never thought of that. Maybe Wyrd got some influence from Pixar.
  23. Uhm, what? Levi summons his waif in base contact with him. Also, Bad Juju is summon from one of his controllers models, not the opponents. How did you plan on summoning Juju between Levi and the waif?
  24. I think it is the wicked doll. Mainly because of the talons and the missing eye. Also the "doll" reference to the nesting dolls. I first thought it was an Alp but the artwork doesn't match the card very well. So I'm going to go with the Wicked Doll on this one.
