supervike
In our own GOLDEN GLOBE-self congratulating style, I thought we could take a little walk on the Red Carpet and have the Wyrd Fans vote for the Best of the Year of WYRD. I've already bought a stunning Versace Evening Gown that leaves absolutely NOTHING to the imagination....but that's neither here nor there... Which release was the best of the bunch, in your opinion. Feel free to vote and then rationalize yourself below! Check out the WYRD store if you need a refresher on which was what... http://www.wyrd-games.net/shop/home.php?xid=81ab4d68f5ac9411a500c161a42a9bc7 Edited January 30, 2009 by supervike
thetang22
I went with the Mature Nephilim. Its an overall great mini - cool looking and pretty dynamic. He's an overall badass that looks great.
ScottRadom
I like the silurid slaves. The Wyrd quality is great overall, but what I liked about these models is they were something unlike anything I'd seen before in a mini. Kind of reminded me of Tim Burton beetlejuice style stuff, and I really liked them.
lauth81
Death Marshalls win that hands down IMHO.
Hinton
Very tough call as there were so many great releases in '08. Ultimately, had to go with some cheesecake and say Lady Justice. It's just a great sculpt, IMO.
goblyn13
I actually had to vote Vike you forgot something because in addition to all the fine miniature releases, Wyrd fired up and released not 1 but 2 issues of its very own Ezine, which helped to flesh out Malifaux and stir the imagination a bit by introducing the world that these miniatures all fit into. That raises a really interestinpint Goblyn. Is this a vote for miniature releases only or are we goign to allow the minorities into this and move out of the barbaric middle ages? My vote for Vike you forgot something!
Hinton
Is this a vote for miniature releases only or are we goign to allow the minorities into this and move out of the barbaric middle ages? My vote for Vike you forgot something! You could vote for the Wyrd T-shirts last year as they were released in '07, so I would think that WC would count as well. Nice to know that people really liked the first two issues (even better if you liked the fiction ).
TheBugKing
Wait... There was fiction in those things? Hmmm. Maybe I should go take a second look then. I don't remember any fiction! (Yeah it was great stuff Hinton. I'm very much looking forward to WC3.)
Scorpio
Many of the above are cool, very cool. But the Death Marshals throw coffins at people. No contest.

v22TTC
Death Marshals for me too - I gushed about the jumping one (particularly) when he was released and I don't like them any less now....

Wren
Ouch, tough choices! I'm going to go with the Bayou Gremlins as the combo of cute, creepy, fun and Wyrd really works for me. Lady Justice, Dwead Piwate, Mature Nephilim and Zoriada all tempted my vote too.
