  1. Two other additions that I find invaluable are Jack Daw (His ability to prevent cheating and soulstone use makes some of Leveticus' spells auto kills) and Bette Noir. Betty is a bit of a case by case basis, but against predominantly living crews she can be counted upon to completely remove one model from the game with sever spine. That and she is such a pain to kill.
  2. Wait wait wait... You are just NOW seeing the synergy with the Swarm? Best Blessings of Desolation target ever!
  3. Malifaux: Outcasts and Arcanists (Mostly. I have a "few" other masters...) Warmachine /Hordes: Cryx Infinity: Aleph Dystopian Wars: Prussians Warrior: Too many to list but currently Feudal Japanese Flames of War: Mid War Armored Panzergenedier. 69company. Many board games and card games. Playtesting lots.
  4. Avatar of Bugs and Causing Problems. Also the Avatar of Pouring Gasoline on a Fire.
  5. When Steampunk Arachnids Self Destruct you sacrifice them. When a model is sacrificed it doesn't leave counters behind. If you could somehow get a model in Leveticus' crew that has controlled detonation then you could use your stated procedure.
  6. Very interesting Mr. Stele. I was considering sculpting a flame structure and adding the LEDs for Flame Wall. I like the use of the frosted "gems" though. I'm pretty sure Litco has 3d flame pieces that you could use for Flame Wall in addition to your current build process that would satisfy the flame look.
  7. LOL. So mature we are!

  8. Awww. I thought you were asking how to MAKE sludge. I have all sorts of great techniques, tips and tricks to do that. Painting? Meh.
  9. WTF? No comments in 2k11??? Hey. My year roll over is eminent!

  10. Zeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

  11. Heh. Bowen is teh writer superb. So, Mr. Bowen. How much is yours and how much is Webers? Any other writers involved deeply? It sucks being out of the loop.
  12. Oh no. I was referring to the pun. Not the actual name. So miss cast would imply that she was cast improperly in a showgirl situation. Thus ugly. *edit* Also, Miss Pack was originally intended to be included as "miss packs" as they are now. So there the name was more along the lines of the intent of the figure. Gremlenette. Well thats kind of self explanatory.
  13. Don't take SPAs. Go with Jack Daw (Sonnia HATES him) as well as Bette Noir. Bette will take her down pretty quickly if you can position Daw so he effects Sonnia but not Bette. (Of course that applies to ANY model in the game) The hooded rider is also a great choice because it is such a beat stick and can move so quickly. Leveticus should be used as a support piece in a match like this. Use his buff spell (The one that grants an additional crow to combat) on Betty. Auto triggers are Nasty and a paralized Sonnia is a dead Sonnia.
  14. To be true to form it would have to be a missshapen lump. More like Zoraida than Cheesecake. But funny!
  15. Well. There are two Outcast and one Resser Cheesecake models so far. I'd like to see some Neverborn cheesecake personally. Like a WhaldNymph or some such thing. Or... Guild! Layers assistant. Here are your books sir! OOPS!
  16. Thanks folks! As for what it is made out of... Well the master was made out of plaster. This is actually a cast copy.
  17. This is the first piece of about 7 or so that I have been working on. Rather excited about it to be honest. This is the smallest piece of the 7. The other 6 are sculpted at this point. A bit more work is needed to get them ready for paint though. *edit* Dimensions: Approx 6" wide 8" long 2" tall
  18. Nice work with the water effects! Did you plan the bubbles? Or did they simply occur when you pored? I know I had a hellish time with bubbles when I did the demo board two years ago.
  19. I have an Iwata set up. A gravity feed for fine detail (approx $90 us) and a siphon feed for terrain (Approx $80) Both are dual action. Be sure to get a dual action brush. A single action brush is MUCH harder to use to good effect. Also, get a compressor with a tank. Yes they are much more expensive but they are worth every penny.
  20. Thanks Kaane. I like your solution to the spider problem better then mine. I actually ditched the whole idea all together. However I might do up a segmented base that interlocks. Would be fun with the spiders. So the inspiration goes both ways my friend. Don't sell your creativity short!
  21. Now if only his competition would get his ass in gear and finish! Looks great Scott!
  22. I meant the skin of the rider himself. However I've since darkened it up considerably. Thanks for the comments folks! Off to a tournament!!!
  23. Thanks folks! Karn, you should know me by now. I do bases more then I paint.
  24. So... Some progress. Started on the water effects. Also laid down some paint on the figure! Got the flesh done and the head mostly done. I also started with the ribcage. Going to go glowey green so i can do a bit of OSL. Eyes of the rider and the horse will also glow green. YAY! PICS! (Please tear it apart as usual. Saying it's great is nice and all but if there is an issue please say it. It's ever so helpful!) First, a step by step for the water effects. (Note that I need to put on about 5 more layers on the spouts and then poor the base. Lots to do still!) And the result of the epoxy for the night: The painting so far: Thanks all! TBK
