Hinton
Ok, so some searches for this song over at YouTube turn up some...interesting....results. Here's the group that's singing it in the little anime version that FF posted: And here's one set to Final Fantasy: Final Fantasy Ievan Polkka And if you want the lyrics (with English translation) to the whole song: Ievan Polkka(scroll to the bottom)

supervike
I love this sort of thing. It becomes unfathomable how big those things really are. I guess I really never knew how relatively small Mars was compared to the Earth...I thought they were closer together, size wise. In a little college town near here, they have a scale representation how far the planets are from the sun. Earth is an easy walk from the sun, pluto, not so much. Nathan Caroland
Yeah its interesting to see the relative sizes on these - as big as you think Earth is, it is a drop in the ocean when compared to some of the other planets out there. Neat stuff. I always did like those astrological whatnots where they shot all the stars and planets around you in a theater.

Hinton
I think the technical term is doohickeys. Damn, now I feel silly; I've always referred to them Star Thing-a-majigs. It is cool to see things like that, FF. Looking at that, the Earth could plunge right into the sun and it wouldn't even be a little puff. Duende
I think the technical term is doohickeys. No, no, no.... it's thingamabobs. Don't you know your technical terms? *EDIT* Dammit, Hinton, stop beating me to the punchline! :motz:
Nathan Caroland
I always called them hippomajiggathons but maybe that's just a southern thing.
vincegamer
I wish they'd thought to include Luna. I heard that they have found other planets with moons, and in fact there's even an asteroid in the asteroid belt with a moon. The thing that is still odd/unique about Earth's moon is the ratio in size to the planet. Earth has things like tides and volcanoes because of the gravitational effect of such a massive body so near by constantly tugging on us. Nathan Caroland
Korgoth of Barbaria - found this on YouTube tonight and apparently it is going to be a cartoon series on Cartoon Network, Adult Swim. Can't wait, got a good laugh off them (bit crude and some adult material mind you).
