DumbLuck
When a model with Focus targets Pandora or Carver, if it only has focus +1 which event is resolved first, Pandora's ability or the Active model. Since the wording on both is, "before performing an opposed duel?" Which one would end up with the plus flips? Opportunist (Any Condition): Before performing an opposed duel, this model may end any Condition on the opposed model to receive a + to that duel. Focused +X: Before performing an opposed duel, this model may lower the value of this Condition by one to receive a + to the duel (and any resulting damage flip this model makes). Morgan Vening
Pretty sure "acting model first". Else it'd be kinda worthless as an ability, other than to prevent people from stacking focus against Pandora.
Adran
Its also worth pointing out that there will be times the model with the focus isn't the acting model. Page 34 has simultaneous effects, which basically say active player first. The detailed timing on page 35 again tells us the active player is first in modifying the duel.
Hawkoon
I initially thought Pandora/Carver could remove focus before the attacking player got to use it. If it's the other way around that changes a lot of the usefulness of opportunist in regards to focus....
Angelshard
If the attacker has more than one focus you can still strip the rest and it prevents defensive focus from being used
TeddyBear
Imo, i think that if pandora could remove focus from an opponent during opponent activation to give her a + on defensive flip, it would have been "a little bit wrong".. 🤔 or no? Adran
Just now, TeddyBear said: Imo, i think that if pandora could remove focus from an opponent during opponent activation to give her a + on defensive flip, it would have been "a little bit wrong".. 🤔 or no? Pandora can still do that, but only if there is still focus on the model after its had a chance to spend it. ( so either because they chose not to spend it, or they had more than focus +1)
