Lupercal
Tyrant in the rules is just a type like Beast or Mimic or Spirit. It makes you weak to relic hammers for one thing, I am not sure if it affects anything else in game terms.
Ratty
It's like a club you can be a member of, a bit like the Masons but with more bloody sacrifices (if that was possible).
Al Shut
Isn't Tyrant one of those characteristics that are written in bold and only serve as keyword for other special rules? edit- way too late
zFiend
You just get beat up more for being a Tyrant. Probably someone in the game design had a bad marriage or something.
Ian Campbell
If you've ever seen one of the models with Relic Hammer, they get tons of bonuses against Tyrants. It's just a creature type!
rancor709
Tyrant gets them hit really hard by relic hammers. It is a keyword just as living is a keyword or nephlim is. That happens to let relic hammers really hit it
CrouchingMoose
Been said by everyone else before me, but it's just a characteristic like Construct or Undead. All it does is merely denote the model as being a specific type of being. (Oh and Rancor is right about the Relic Hammers. My Taelor is still waiting to get fielded against one). Sobek
It's like a club you can be a member of, a bit like the Masons but with more bloody sacrifices (if that was possible). And far more exclusive. Think there's only room for 12 or 13 members.
MasterDisaster
As already mentioned the Tyrant is just a type of model characteristic like Horror, Belle, MS&U ect. It has no in game effect unless you come across the dreaded Relic Hammers which hit like a tonne of bricks to start with. If you are a Tyrant or Construct for that matter and you get hit by said Relic Hammer the Dmg flip will gain Flips which makes it utterly devastating. The only models who carry Relic Hammers though are Taelor, Johan/Johana and The Captain. The first two are mercs though so nobody is safe from their badassitude.
