The mother reminds me of some underwater vampire/fishman from a swamp thing comic I once read, which I consider a good thing. Instead the Eternal Flame can be taken as a regular model. And it seems like every Arcanist model can take killswitch/decaoy now.

I don't know if he's worth it but I do use my Desperate Mercenary. Mainly because he perfectly fits the theme of my Guild crew, which is old metal models I liked better than buying a plastic crew box.

Decoys can be taken even if nobody has the Killswitch upgrade and both upgrades count towards the upgrade limit. The Powered by Flame upgrade is listed with a cost of 1 Soulstone while it has a cost of 2 in the book.

Hoffman with the Arcanist Assets upgrade can't hire Joss nor the Mobile Toolkit

They can take it in theory, it just doesn't make a lot of sense. will be added with the other Gremlins as he's in the Gremlin Arsenal Deck/ section of the book.

And when a Nothing Beast is hired into a Resurrectionist crew via Dead of Winter or Faces of Oblivion it can't take the Void Shield Upgrade

I do on occasion, if the leaders stats are low enough (not necesarily the Guild variant) Sooner or later it will bring better results than a normal would have. That is so much more rewarding when everybody keeps telling you the stone is useless.

Clearly needs a house rule that allows for Sue to be crammed in there somewhere. I'm so torn on the Dark Carnival. On the one hand, the thing I like about Colette is the background so why would I want a Nightmare Edition that isn't her. On the other hand, flying monkeys!!! I want flying monkeys! I was wondering if anyone has good ideas of how to expand that crew while keeping the theme. I was thinking maybe Madame Sybelle as an Nightmare Angelica that looks like some sort of animal trainer with one of the Arcanist beasts as a circus animal. Any other ideas?
