  1. @Purple Mist Thanks for the compliment but the Crime boss isn't me, it's @Nikodemus
  2. Yeah that sounds like a good idea, I may even mix fire teams of the ECB into that process aswell, seeing as I want to paint them all quite different to each other.
  3. So for May I pledge muchos TOS. We have our first London tourney on the 15th of June and I'd like to get as much of my company done as possible. Unfortunately May is gonna be pretty busy for me so I don't know how much that will be, but I still have left to do Adeodatos, Fenton, ECB Black Ops, Doomseekers, Stalking Portals, 2x Raving Madmen, Immolated Rhino and 2x (proxy) breachlings... hmm where to start
  4. @Rathnard I think it's fine if terrain is high value as it encourages us to paint it @muraki Welcome to London! Its worth checking out Darksphere for gaming stuff, the one in Sheppards Bush has tons of stuff, there's also one near Waterloo which is just awesome as its under some railway arches. There's also the Orc's Nest and The Bad Moon Cafe (gaming cafe). If its more model shops you want just hit google maps and you'll find one - we're kinda spoilt
  5. Ooh that Binh sculpt is amazing. I'll be having one of those
  6. @Rathnard those horrors look grim! Great job!
  7. @Caedrus cashing in my chips. Looking at them all pictured together it was a very bright month for me... must be because summers coming 3x Bunraku 18, Carrion Effigy 4, Hodgepodge Effigy 4, Crooked Man 7, Kentauroi 8, 2x Exorcists 12, 9x Warped 45, Raving Madman 5 Total for April = 103 stones
  8. I'd be interested in this too
  9. Managed to get a full unit of Warped done over Easter weekend
  10. Wow haven't been online for a few days, some great work posted since then! @misterfinn Gremlin looks awesome, I'd be hard pressed to offer any criticism, maybe just what @Franchute said, try a different colour on the grass? but in all honesty looks great as is @Stranglelove Really nice looking crew, Love the basing especially and the rotten look of Ikiryo @Nikodemus Glad you powered through, those motivational walls can be crushing but its one of the great things about this group is that there's always motivation and inspiration to be found. The Tengu looks great, amazing detail on the feathers and the beak is awesome. @Viruk Those two Myrandas look great, especially like the work you've put in to the basing. Thanks also for your kind words, your right I will definitely add some dirt to bottom of my exorcists coats
  11. Oh the joy of having a week off Here's a few more - carrion effigy and 2 exorcists
  12. @Purple Mist Thanks but it was less layers than normal. The green glow was just a bit of drybrushing with a couple of glaze layers thrown over the top, super quick
  13. Hey guys, just a few pics of what I've been up to so far this month. Been speeding up my painting. Less layers and blending but more painted models on the table
  14. @Caedrus as requested here's my warped glowy blue recipe. Its actually more of a turquoise its just the pic makes it bluer. Base coat with a 50/50 mix of these two. The Winsor and Newton Turquoise isn't available anymore but any vibrant turquoise will do. At this stage I also drybrush around what i'm basecoating to give the first step of glow. Then wash with a very watered down Drakenhof Nightshade and then reapply base coat Then highlights - Pure turquoise first then a couple more layers adding more white as i go Then 60/40 mix Guilliman Blue/Waywatcher Green glaze - to tie it all in, I go over the drybrushed glow aswell and add a few layers for faint glow on other areas Then just pick out a few extreme highlights with your last mix of turquoise/white
  15. Was just looking at @Burnin' Coal's painting routine in the March thread and it got me wondering, what do you guys listen to while painting, or do you paint with nothing but silence and the tinkle of the brush in the water pot? I listen to podcasts mostly these days such as Last Podcast on the Left, Lore, Astonishing legends sometimes Schemes n Stones or Breachside Broardcast Music wise it's nearly always Iron Maiden or on occasion when I'm tired and need motivation the Rocky 4 soundtrack I also have what I call trash watches which are series I'm not really into but make good background as you only have to look up when the dramatic music starts - like Salem, Shadow Hunters, the 100 and - here comes the shame... Baywatch remastered
  16. @Burnin' Coal That routine sounds eerily familiar
  17. @Burnin' Coal amazing work as always on the broken, really looking forward to see what you do with the Doom Seekers
  18. At the end of April I'll be attending the Welsh GT. I've never used an unpainted mini at a tournament (its a personal rule I have given myself) so with that in mind this month I need to finish my Tormented and Experimental crews My April pledge will be Jaakuna Ubume, at least one crooked man, and a Kentauroi Stretch Goals - Will be finishing off my Puppets - so Bunraku/Hodgepodge Effigy/Carrion Effigy Stretch stretch Goals (unlikely but you've gotta dream big) - More cult of the burning man
  19. Congratz @Stranglelove you deserve it, your company looks awesome
  20. @OctaBit Wow our Warped this month came out vary similar colours, I was also painting Crooked Men for my Jack Daw crew, but didn't finish. I think we may be psychically linked!
  21. @Caedrus So here's some pics of my March pledge, I didn't get to finish my other Tormented models but managed a squad of Warped for 45 stones
