  1. Bandit Keyword The Good Mad Dog Brackett: Thanks to run and gun and the ability to gain fast from nearby scheme markers, Mad Dog has a decent threat range and a min 3 damage spread. He has a built in trigger for anti-armour and his gun has blasts across the board. This means that he is really good at both assassinating tanky threats and also chaff crowd control. His close combat attack is very good at getting him out of combat ranges and hands out Injured +2, which is pretty vicious. Good model to bring in on reckoning games OOK for removing enemies. The Bad Parker Barrows: Parker has a number of abilities that care about having other bandits nearby or enemies being close to enemy scheme markers, which will be hard to use out of keyword. I cant imagine he brings enough on his own to justify the cost of a second master. The Ugly Benny Wolcomb: Benny has a face that even a mother couldn't love. Boy hit every branch on the way down when he fell out of the ugly tree. Aside from that, his rat generation really doesn't achieve much other than giving your opponent pass markers and he doesn't seem to see much play in either of his keyword crews. Avoid. (Sorry for changing your good, medium bad scale... I had to make a cowboy joke)
  2. My biggest regret is focusing entirely on building a Nicodem summoning engine/ pool and entering 3e with a collection of random minions across every keyword in faction, but no cohesive crew. (I have now fixed this issue and am loving m3e btw)
  3. Yeah absolutely in a normal game with a full crew load out flesh construct makes for an ok scheme runner, but with the exact crew that he is talking about using into a game of reckoning, I would go on the offensive with it. I suppose you could just rely on Sebastian and Rafkin handing out a bunch of poison with Flask of Formaldehyde for blood poisoning to get the job done, then use the construct for scheming actually.
  4. Ah yes, I should have asked that before firing off a bunch of M3e opinions 😅
  5. Reckoning is all about killing, and unfortunately your pool of models is missing some of the more aggressive picks that tend to go with McMourning (Rogue Necromancy, Kentauroi, Dead Rider) but on the plus side, McMourning himself is an absolute melee beast. The plan should be to use McM and Flesh construct as your beatsticks, with the rest of the crew running support/ scoring schemes. You want to get plenty of poison onto McMourning, as this will heal him at the end of each round. Your Belle will be useful to lure enemies into unfavourable positions/ allow you to pick them off one by one. One thing you may wish to try is to generate multiple corpse markers in one place with your canine remains, then stroll over with McMourning to summon a new flesh construct.
  6. So, the latest Waldo's Weekly showed off the new official rules for HH: https://www.wyrd-games.net/news/category/Wyrd+News TLDR: HH will be 30 stones, 4 models exactly (fixed crew through whole tournament), no free leaders, no free effigies, no summoning, 2ap for leaders, vp scoring from turn 1, wedge deployment, Plant Explosives + Vendetta + Assassinate. The lack of summoning means that Asura is probably right out, so what Henchman + Crew do you think will be good in this format? My first instinct is to reach for either Anna Lovelace or Vincent St Claire.
  7. Molly is in a really good place for M3E. The crew is highly mobile, good at scheming and capable of putting out a decent amount of damage when required. Molly herself changes the way that your opponent has to play the game. Lethe's Caress means that if Molly has LOS (regardless of range) on your opponents models, she has an effect on how they can operate. She also draws cards, deals chunks of damage, reactivates minions and hands out focus. The crew has access to two premium beaters in Archie and the Rogue Necromancy. Both are quick, hard hitting and have some degree of self healing. The Forgotten Marshal is a really good summoner. The minions are all good in their own way too, but Crooligans are a bit special in particular because of 'By Your Side', which gives your cheap little scheme runners the ability to teleport across the entire board to a non-minion Forgotten. Not played Kirai myself, so I'll leave her for others to talk about.
  8. My first instinct is that he is now one of the worst masters in the faction post errata. I hope I am wrong, but testing is needed.
  9. Surely the model with the biggest target on their back is Asura Roten. She instantly became a staple in almost every Resser list because she does so much that she basically feels like having a second master on the field. Summoning free zombies without a flip, forcing WP checks just for activating, giving all your weaker models a decent attack AND Hands From Below? I love using Asura, but daaaaayumn thats a lot of value for 8 stones.
  10. Nice! I should try and get this model at some point. I really dig the whole penny dreadful mary poppins vibe.
  11. Reva, Nicodem, Seamus, Kirai andddddd probably Molly I guess. The choices are more about my personal enthusiasm over tactical flexibility. Seamus was the master that sold me on Malifaux in the first place, but I really enjoy playing Reva right now 😍
  12. Yeah I was more talking about using soulstone damage mitigation with seamus, but I have way less experience with this new boo style play and have been quite cautious with my placements. I will have to try and be more aggressive with the build to see where the limits lie.
  13. https://www.wyrd-games.net/news/2018/2/5/monday-preview-the-undying Very small amount of information on offer about the models in the box, but some stuff to talk about. New Belles sound kind of interesting, slightly concerned that Manos sounds like a bit of a one dimensional beat stick. What does everyone else think?
  14. I guess the best thing to do is pick your battles. If your opponent is running things that negate damage mitigation (like Reva with Decaying Aura and Littany of the Fallen) then avoid jamming your master up front until you can pick off the threatening model in question.
  15. Fair enough, my lgs has one in stock and I was considering a purchase, but if she is a bit mediocre I will give it a miss. I think they might have Shikome in stock too, since the OP was raving on them I might pick those up instead.
  16. In all honesty, I was hoping for a bit more discussion than that. These forums are disappointingly dead.
  17. Has anybody tried Jaakuna Ubume with this Seamus list? She has a lot of WP focused abilities and can hand out slow/ deny the walk ability. Seems like an interesting board control piece.
