  1. Mangroves You can plance them plenty an the board. For gaming purposes it will not matter if they're standing in the water or on the ground.
  2. I like the Wolsung and Wild West Exodus buildings from Micro Art Studio. And the western buildings from the small german shop War Mage.
  3. I like the spider's colour a lot.
  4. I was lucky to meet Stephan at one of Jarheads (Roman Lappat) workshops. I bought two of the V2 holders from him, and I will not miss them. This is definitely a product from a hobbist for hobbists. I have the small holders with the metal bar. You can steady your hand by touching the bar with a finger while painting. No more grease or touching wet paint with your fingers. I don't know how the bigger holders feel, maybe more for busts? @ ReDevit: I think its for painters up from casual painting. Normal troops I have on cork or something. But HQs and miniatures for my vitrine I put on the holder.
  5. This one was difficult. First the assembly: 20 tiny bits. Coming from GW its like a smith doing brain surgery. And the Necrotic Machine was the model I liked the least in the Molly box. I just couldn't get a feeling for this model. I searched the internet for inspiration, but I found only few well painted Pontos. All of them just some metallics and a wash - and most of them the old model. At least I found a model in this forum, painted in more bright colours. So I had the idea of a machine made of bones. And I wanted to make it look disgusting. If you got nothing to loose, its easy to start. First I tried some wet-in-wet blending. It turned out ok, but not quite the look I imagined. I thought smooth blending would be too much of work, so I thought of something else (how wrong I have been...). Instead of blending, I painted A LOT of small brushstrokes for a bony look. THIS took time! But I liked how it turned out. And with all the time spent with the model I started to like it more and more. The rest was mud, blood and maggots and at last I'm very happy with this model. 20 hours for 2 points - I guess me and army painting would never worked out...
  6. I like the Feldherr Koffer a lot. They come in differnt sizes and the inlays are customable.
  7. Thanks for your replies! @ New to Wyrd: the mohawks are copied from the box art. But the white streaks came into my maind while painting. I would like to see your paintjobs too. Next will be .... ...the Necrotic Machine!
  9. Great paintings! Lot of atmosphere.
  10. Hallo Sandmann! Ich komme auch von 40K. ber bei meinem Malstil dauern Armeen bei mir viel zu lange. Bis ich eine Liste angemalt habe, sind schon wieder neue Regeln draußen. Wo kommst du denn her?
  11. The nexte ones I've painted were the crooligans. Much fun to paint. I always struggle after finishing the smooth blendings to continue with the bloodsplatter and dirt. But I like how it turned out.
  12. Hi, I'm a new Malifuax player from germany. I started with the molly box. But before painting the content of the box I wanted to make some color testing on the zombie skin I will use. So the first Minis to paint were some Punk Zombies: lots of skin, and you can't do anything wrong - because they're just zombies. After using a very clean comic stye on my pink Space Wolves, I was very happy to do some weathering and bloddspilling!
  13. Thanks fpr your replies. I like the ideas of cacti, wagons and brush. All of these would have the soft cover rule. Other suggestions my friend came up to were sandstorms and big dinosaur bones. The other suggestions I would count as BLOS or dense and would count them to the first 1/3. So I wonder if I have some misunderestanding (because I'm not a native english speaker). I was refering to this statement from the "terrain and you" thread:
  14. I've built a desert map. Now I'm building terrain for the map. As about 1/3 of the table should be obscuring terrain, I was wondering what could that be in a desert (and easy to built, so no sandstorms ). Do you have any ideas or examples?
