  1. Great....now I'm going to go to bed super jealous. Nice work!
  2. you are doing it right. keep the pics coming! looks great!
  3. Just a tip....a 3/8 washer fits perfectly in the 30mm base. Then the tray just needs a dirt cheap magnetic strip from any hardware store. I magnetised my entire collection for about 2 dollars.
  4. If the grain is pretty tight I think staining with an acrylic wash would be best. You can color and weather to taste. Then assemble and touch up the cut ends. Easiest thing would be to just test it on a piece of the building material and see if you like it. Worst case...it is not to your liking and you then build it first...prime it black and use the basic paint techniques and bring it to where you like it. That's how I would go about it anyways.
  5. anyone have an update on this grid pattern? is there a consensus on what to add to a board?
  6. Interesting.thanks guys. I even checked the cards, I didn't see the base size on them at all. Maybe my old man eyes are going out on me.
  7. Would anyone mind sharing a resource for finding wich models belong on wich size bases? The online build instructions didn't say ,the kit doesn't say,the wiki doesn't say. I'm looking to build the older relic hunters set. I figure the horse is for the big base. What goes on the mid size one? Thank-you fellas!
  8. Howdy gang, New fella here. I prefer to custom build as much as I can for my games, and Malifaux seems to be about perfect for a hobbyist to really get stuff done in that area. I am making a tray/storage box for my game materials and it occurs to me, I don`t know what exactly all those materials are. I think I have the major parts sorted out, but I am looking around and there is SO MUCH homemade goodness with a lot of variety. Any assistance or point a noob in the right place to look for some of the finer details on tokens and markers? How many of each is a good amount? schemes, scraps, etc... If I am making my own counters, is there an `official` size requirement? are they the size of a small base? I saw a previous discussion that 3D tokens are probably not best because models like to stack or stand on top of them. While a little disapointing from a hobbyist standpoint, I do get it. function over form. but what size are they supposed to be? thanks gang!
  9. Howdy folks, Does anyone have pictures of interesting...useful... clever....tray solutions for carrying a crew and materials around at a game day or tournament without lugging the entire collection around? I have a wip for my own purposes and I think it will do nicely. I'll show it when it's done. But poking around the internet, I see lots of foam bags and whatnot to store it all but I'm looking for smaller..one day stuff. Caveat....I'm brand new to the game so if everyone just brings everything let me know.
