  1. Nice start to crew your master. My opinion on the 7, use 2-3 of them after finding out your opponents crew and your own strategy and schemes. I'm personally not a Montressor fan, Lady Ligiea(correct?) and the Child are both great but FRAGILE. Sue is pretty good for deck manipulation early on, but with no direct healing, take Greed with him to stone for a healing flip, which she can get back anyway. Lust with the Crooked and/or Hanged, to help get multiple models in AoE. Gluttony I think can pull to a marker. Sloth's aura will also come in handy.
  2. You can always try Lust and Greed, from the Crossroad Seven. Hannah and/or Taleor, as well (Both at the same time is expensive).
  3. Flesh Constructs. They reactivate on your opponents empty hand, or they can be your anchors.
  4. Give Leveticus Pariah of Iron and hire any construct in the game. Ryle, Flesh Construct or Stiched Together.
  5. Desolation Engine is best summoned, not hired. He is great on paper, but in reality hi is a walking target that a fairly decent model can tie up and take down in a couple of turns. Then you have lost 13 stones worth of model. However, my suggestion is to try your list out at least 2 times and write a bat rep for each. Make sure to note what the crew was able and unable to each in regards to the strategy and schemes, as well as, the enemy crew. This will help you build the list more to your own play style.
  6. Just spit-balling, but Regen and Wrath for a longer lasting , better beater?
  7. Add Victoria of Blood, she is a 0 cost Henchman for Ashes. What other Outcast models might you have? Dropping a Ronin for something like a Trapper to help soften targets. Buy and include Vanessa for Sister synergy ( alternate using Bishop or Taelor, as best suits your play style and opponent). Drop a second Ronin to add upgrades and keep a healthy cache of stones. Again, my advice is to play test to your style mix and match until you find a set up that works for you.
  8. Trembled the entire host before the Malifaux Ghost
  9. Since you have the 7, Jack Daw would be a great master to get to know. If you do, Patzer has a great post on him. Leveticus is also great, but completely expensive. That you have arcinist construct models will also help, but you will want to pick up other faction's constructs. Then you'll want to try Pariah of Bone... I was thinking of Tara as my next master, but I am also considering Hamelin. I first went against him in 1.5 and he blew my mind. He's definitely more balanced now a days, so I might try out as well.
  10. And both he and Jack should have been Terrifying (all).
  11. He is a an average stated model, but his abilities are a trap, since they don't use his 3". To best use those abilities, enemies need to be in B2B with him. Now instead of keeping enemies at his 3", where very few could reach him, everyone has the opportunity to damage him. His Mocking Laughter doesn't help him directly. He is average stat'ed, so ge can easily get into a bad situation and not have the tools to help himself out of trouble. If he simply pulled and triggered in his 3", he would be a great model.
  12. The great thing about Jack, he can have a versatile crew selection that doesn't need to start thematic but that will become so as the game progresses. This also means that he is different than many masters as he builds his own crew's synergy, rather than having to worry about it at the start of the game. You could, for example, take Ashes and Dust, make it Tormented (it's a characteristic and not a condition!) and push it 3" up the board at the start of its turn with Jack's Writhing Torment.
  13. Many undead are also constructs, so you take Iron and not lose out on much.
  14. With Leveticus, it helps to think of the crew that is going to follow the Master and not the Master hiring the crew. What I mean is that Leveticus doesn't have a real direct synergy to the models in his crew. You can bring in a cross-faction crew and the pieces will gel, while Leveticus is doing finishing blows. It really comes down to what kind of game do you want to play and how willing you are to lose friends! ?
  15. I don't use Wrath a whole lot, but when I do, I throw him up a flank and pick off strays, slower scheme runners and outflank my opponents crew.
  16. And put every Nurse and Librarian in the opposition out of work... Nice!
  17. For mor info on Leve and the Effigy http://themostexcellentandawesomeforumever-wyrd.com/topic/115964-is-hodgepodge-effigy-worth-it-in-a-crew-when-the-master-isnt-very-killy/#comment-928937
  18. My advice would be to have a "base crew" of Master & 3-5 models that are good generalists. The next additions can be slotted in during the round when you know your opponents faction. More direct advice would be Envy + a sniper model Creeping Terror on a tar pit model (like Jakunna), not on Jack ( the crew is better off with him using Writhing Torment) If you use Sloth, don't forget his defensive trigger (which can do a lot of crew disruption) My personal opinion is that the Desolation Engine, when hired, is a trap. You're better off summoning it, should the opportunity arise. Do you have Sue? If so, bring him as well.
  19. Unless they were all born of the same kill...
  20. The second one makes me think of a creature crawling into a skinsuit all odd jointing and positioning. It makes me think that there's a fresh kill at its feet and its folding itself into the meat suit.
  21. Is it just me, or is the one with the lollipop extra creepy? Like Children of the Corn creepy? Makes me want to play Neverborn!
  22. That's interesting. What's the range for that? Is it your go to choice solely of those instances, or do you have a back-up?
  23. What would that bring to the table? I've never used a specialist. (Probably cause I don't own one ?).
  24. You can always take Envy with a I Pay Better henchman.
