  1. Tuco thematically fits with Lilith, and he gives her a bit of ranged power. I haven't used him much to see where I prefer him, but the general consensus is he's not overly great. Personally I'll keep using him with Lilith because I like playing themed lists.

Was it from your house, and were they in storage cases? Keep an eye out for dumpsters in the vicinity, and let local pawn shops know about it. A lot of people mistakenly steal miniatures collections because our storage cases look like (and are usually just rebranded) camera cases, watch cases, basically cases for expensive stuff. When theives open them and see they've stolen a bunch of 'toys' they'll likely either throw them in the nearest dumpster or head to a pawn shop to quickly offload them. Also keep an eye out on ebay, craigslist, etc. They pop up there too.
  3. To be fair, saying 'just go play henchman run events' isn't always helpful. I paid to play in a henchman run slow grow recently, and rather than using a Wyrd event prize pack, they used the money to buy product from the store for prizes. While I support this - it supports the store, afterall - it also means there were no guilders to give out.
  4. Aha. There's still differences though, notably the ghosts are more circular, and the post is less leaning forward and flying and more looks like she's throwing magic at someone.
  5. They're not really 'old sculpts'. They've had some redesign, which means they're likely done from scratch and inspired by the old sculpts. The Ghosts on Pandoras base are different to the Avatar forms tentacles, the box is on the ground rather than being held, and her model is posed different as well. So'mer is missing his nose, in accordance with the new aesthetic, and is posed slightly differently.
  6. So far, the Black Blood Shaman with the dagger in the air. The wings make no sense how they go together, and the instructions are at the perfect angle to tell you nothing. Ironically, the thing I suck at, having hands actually meet at a weapon, was the bit that was a flawless fit.
  7. Yeah, it's not an ideal situation. I'd like a bigger and better community around here, but it just seems to be focussed more on tournaments which I just don't enjoy much, especially for this game which I want to keep the ultra competitiveness out of. its a great system they've got going, and I admire any company that supports communities and stores as much as Wyrd does. It's just not ideal for me due to the focus of the community here. Doesn't bother me that much though. If I want a model, I'll get it. Just means I'm not giving the money to Wyrd, which I'd rather do.
  8. Leagues are few and far between here (I've only played one but it was fun), painting competitions and campaigns non existent. Stuff like this is great when you have a varied, active community with a henchman that supports it properly. Those kinds of communities aren't common around here. Even if they were, I can't commit to playing every week due to having a fiancée who likes to do things on the weekend (I missed the last week of the campaign because we were rescuing a dog). So while I enjoy leagues, I don't get as much out of them as others. So I fall back to trades to get these models.
  9. Love the minis. So glad they did avatar Pandora on a smaller base. Looks much better, less unweildy, and useable in regular games. Utterly fantastic. So'mer too. I loved that model and art, and was disappointed when the plastic model was so different. I'll have to get both models. Unfortunately, by that I mean find them as trades. I strongly dislike tournaments (nothing against people who do or this game, just personal preference. I've attended two, and only enjoyed one). Which means my options for getting them are to find them being traded somewhere. Not that it bothers me - I paid $100au for Santana. I'd just rather give the money to Wyrd.
  10. I'm fighting the urge to get that set. This isn't helping.
  11. They used to host their downloads on their own website. I'm guessing they moved them to DriveThruRPG for bandwidth reasons.
  12. Wouldn't Wyrd send you the cards if you managed to find an old set with 1.5E cards?
  13. Had a game against my brothers Ten Thunders last night. Really fun. Was running Pandora, The Box Opens, Fears Given Form, Widow Weaver, Handbag, Baby Kade, Candy and two Sorrows. My brother was running Yan Lo, Izamu, Toshiro, the Lone Swordsman, a Thunder Archer, a Thunder Brother and a Katanaka Sniper. The funny bit was the summons we thought we would get (Komainu for him, Teddy for me) never happened. I went with Handbag because it was Turf War and I figured with everyone bunched in the middle I should get it off, but it never happened. Very fun game though. Yan Lo and the Lone Swordsman dominated the middle because I moved Pandora and the Widow Weaver off to a flank where the Thunder Brother, sniper and archer were. I really, really, really love those two as a tag team. Weaver drops web markers, Pandora just dominates duels. Here's a few pictures, played on my new mat (with handy M2E deployment and objective markings and plastcraft terrain, with a ruin provided by my brother and scallop shell from my nephew (we're a bit low on Malifaux terrain). Also the game taught me to not concede because your stuff is nearly all dead. At the end all I had left was a nearly dead Pandora and Candy, and the Widow Weaver. I won 2-1. In hindsight, I would have been better off running one Sorrow, Mysterious Effigy and putting Depression on Kade.
  14. I'd love an app like that. Wouldn't stop me buying the books, as I like the fluff and art. One of the best things for Infinity is Mayanet, which is similar. Builds a list, then in 'game' mode has direct links into the official wiki for everything and tracks casualties. Can even work for two lists at the same time. Makes the game so much more convenient to play.
  15. Lilith isn't bad as a first master. She's fragile but deep. At first, you see the swords damage track and use her as a fighter. As you make the games bigger and get more experience, you start seeing the value in her abilities and upgrades - creating cover, Lure, moving models around, etc. She's got a nice curve to what abilities she has sort of unlocking as you learn the game more. Her thematic crew is the same, they're fast and fragile. But once you start learning how schemes and strategies work, you start seeing the importance of speed over raw damage. As you make games bigger, more combinations open up even if you stick to her thematic crew.
  16. Lilith isn't a beatstick. She's a guerilla fighter - usually the last thing you resort to is swinging that sword. Pandora can do massive damage - if the opponent is also a beatstick. If their ranged and melee attacks are weak, her attacks are weak, since they use the enemies damage tracks. Causing death through WP duels isn't being a beatstick.

For the cards, the word is they will end up on the PoD site eventually. They won't beat the models to sale, but the length of time after the models availability is in question. We're still waiting for the Gremlin wave 1 arsenal deck because it was held up by Angry Drunk, the Whiskey Golem upgrade. Whiskey Golems been out for a while now, and the wave 1 deck still hasn't shown up.
  18. No thanks, I'd hate for there to be codex type books. Just keep putting out all in one books. The best thing about that is you don't need to go and buy every other factions book to know what they have. If you own the big books, you own everything. There's still barriers of entry with free rules, like indecision due to the unknown. People have the rules, but they have no clue what they mean or how they work since they don't also know how models work. There's not much Wyrd can do to remedy that without committing free profiles. Perhaps releasing one of the basic minion profiles per faction as a sampler? Terror Tots, a Gamin type, Bayou Gremlins, etc. That would let people proxy a few games with basic minions before moving on to deciding if they want to play. However, that may also need some more detailed analysis of the factions on the main website, rather than being sent to pullmyfinger. Not saying it wasn't a good move releasing the rules for free. People might get curious enough to grab a few models and give the game a try. But for a lot of people, they need more than the rules to be tempted to make the leap.
  19. You'll definitely want a Teddy. Sometimes you just want to punch things, and Kade and teddy can tag team pretty well to do this. Then you'll want Insidious Madnesses. They're fast (Wk 7) Incorporeal minions that have a ranged attack that reduced WP (nasty with Pandora) and can run schemes for you, which Sorrows find difficult with their Wk of 3. They're also, IIRC, Terrifying. You'll also want a Widow Weaver. Her ability to place Web markers that have a WP reducing Aura is again nasty with Pandora. Also Terrifying, and with some nasty melee attacks. But pretty fragile. Then, a Primordial Magic. The Poltergeist is a pretty polarizing unit. Some can make it work, some can't. What everyone can make work is an additional card draw for your hand and a mobile scheme marker, which can turn enemies Insignificant, for cheap. That's a Primordial magic. Finally a Doppleganger. Basically a swiss army knife, it can perform other models (including enemies) (1) actions. Also pretty quick and makes a decent scheme runner. Potentially a Lilutu, but it will require buying the box with the Lelu. If you only want Pandora, there's not much use for the Lelu. Lilutu has a Lure. Also Coppelius who is another good scheme runner that can force WP tests, but he's in the Dreamers box.
  20. Pandora crew finished. Teddy finished. Effigy finished (I remain unable to get a clear photo of this thing). Doppleganger finished (added gore) Widow Weaver finished.
  21. I've been learning Pandora as well in a rapid growth league. Some thoughts which may be helpful to @El_Commi My next purchase is Insidious Madnesses. I will likely still run a Sorrow, maybe two depending on schemes, but I ran an Insidious Mandess that I borrowed in place of one for a game and it made an enormous difference. A 12" ranged attack that reduces WP is a huge boon. I'd recommend adding them to your next list of purchases. Absolutely get a Teddy. Sometimes you just want to punch things in the face rather than try to get WP duels off, and Teddy synergises nicely with Baby Kade. It essentially gives Kade 3AP worth of Walks for 2AP, so if Teddy is going where Kade wants to be anyway, it's a nice way to get him there. Also, Terrifying. As said, it's not always enough, but 13 is a decently high enough duel that people might need to cheat to not Paralyze themselves, and wasting opponents cards is always good. You might get more mileage out of it, but I've drop the Poltergeist. It just doesn't do enough. I've found that dropping those 5pts opened up a lot more options. Granted I don't have a Primordial Magic. The Doppleganger is great if you've got something she can copy attacks from. If you don't (like I didn't early in the league) she can find herself without much to do. She makes an effective scheme runner in smaller games though since you can force negative flips to enemies in melee or ranged. Above all, buy yourself the Generalist Upgrade Deck if only for Fears Given Form. When you get Pandora stuck in, it can do some nasty damage your opponent doesn't expect.
  22. To be fair, Nytmare isn't just playing with the Dreamer for the fun of it. He's trying to figure out exactly how the kid manages to manifest his dreams the way he does. If Nytmare does discover the secret, he'd be on a power level similar to the other Tyrants.
  23. A Gremlin multipart plastic kit would be loverley but I doubt it.
  24. I haven't been game enough to send Pandora into a clump yet. I know people say she's super tough (and she is with 10 wounds, WP 7, the ability to use WP as DF and a built in Push trigger on defence) but I just always manage to flip terribly on defence with her. Last game (the game against Lucius) The Judge managed to hit her for 8 wounds because I had nothing to cheat defence with and flipped terribly. Luckily she made the second one and pushed out of engagement range of the rest of the crew.
  25. A Guild player in the league I'm in plays him and I've found him fairly hard to deal with. If you're not prepared for what he does all those extra minion actions can be very overwhelming. My last game I managed a draw with him by overwhelming him back with Horror duels with Pandora. He ended up cheating so many Horror duels at the start of his turns to get attacks off without Paralysing that he had nothing left to cheat his minion commands or their horror duels with those actions. Probably could have eeked out a win if I played better, but I definitely struggle against him. I'm thinking of trying Voices against him to get long range Paralyses off. Paralyse Lucius and his Condition Removal, and then deal with the rest of the crew.
