  2. I have listed on ebay starting 31/05/15 8pm BST a limited edition Pandora day glow crew still on the sprew. The lot also includes a limited edition Miss Ery. All still on the sprew and include all bases and cards. This makes a complete 50ss crew that will be the envy of everywhere you go! UK postage only.
  3. Posted on the last topic asking how to pay now it has moved, can you let me know please?
  4. Do i still pay in the same way to join panzer? Me and Sn0lan will be coming. Tjuk needs a re-match.
  5. That shows how hardcore Marie's travelling is that 2 hours further north is 'a bit' . It is a long way to relocate an event but saying that it is better than no event at all.
  6. Perhaps slightly off topic a bit but could some one explain generally how Pandy wins when she goes for control build? I am perhaps underestimating how much it messes with an enemies plan making them active 1 or 2 models a turn out of sequence but it feels like an inconvinience instead of a win condition.
  7. I just attended my first event (cow wars) and had a blast and exeeded my expectations. However looking at the results table i placed higher than my vp differential and vp's for would suggest. Any general tips on how to go about getting/denying more vp's?
  8. Sorry if this has been covered somewhere but proving ground says we will know the strategies for each round before the tournament. When will these be made available (unless i have already missed them) as until i read that i didnt even know there was more than the standard 5....get me my wooden spoon ready!
  9. People will always use luck as a way of not having to face up to facts. Players seem lucky because they get a good card and the capitalise on it and make it count, it's not luck but skill. Players seem unclucky because they get a bad card and they let it beat them instead of contingency planning. This is just lack of skill. Do you remember that time that you opponent drew poor cards all game and you still lost? Didnt think so, but you certainly remember when you got smashed because of that joker. I am not a skilled player at all, but i do know you need to remove the thought of luck if you ever want to get better. Relevantly, The dirt of luck.
  10. What is the parking situation for the event?
  11. I can see this coming up later, i think i know the answer but does Raspys Counter spell work on Sonnia's reflect magic? The name suggests that it does, however as the damage is the result of a DF action on sonnias part and Raspy's counter spell only triggers against CA actions i would say it does not work?
  12. I have been wargaming long enough to know that if there is a big threat in terms of model then you either want to throw everything you have at it or completely ignore it and focus on everything else, the one thing you never want to do is half focus on the threat taking pot shots at it and never taking it down and never dealing with everything else. What i am not good at is: 1) listening to myself 2) deciding in which circumstance i should fight and which i should flight One example of this was facing fuhatsu, i took a few pot shots as i advanced up the board but then ignored him when i got to the centre turf marker. I never took him down he poked holes in me all game and i still had a full force to deal with when i reached the turf! What are your thoughts on the fight or ignore choices when dealing with a big threat? How do you decide?
  13. I have a Sonnia player in our local slow grow tonight. We will be playing turf war and 1 scheme. I am really looking forward to some awesome caster vs caster action but i am worried that Sonnia has the upper hand. I will be running 2 december acolytes, wendigo, 3 ice gamin and ice pillars on Raspy (probably facing out the box sonnia). I am thinking i will put the acolytes as close to the turf as possible and use them both to try focus fire on the witchling stalkers and take them down as quick as possible and reduce hand size early in the turns. I will run raspy up close to the middle and use ice pillars where i can to stop my models getting burning and making cover irrelevant. Ice gamin will head to the centre and spread out a little to allow for good casting points for Raspy. Unsure if i should use the wendigo aggresively as i am facing off against a ranged crew or to help spam the ice pillars. I am expecting a tough match that in my mind could all go pear shaped very quickly if burning gets out of hand which seems hard to stop.
  14. Ok so i should be looking to do something like: Float electric creation foward Ramos pull to kill Summon 2 spiders from the scrap Joss charge and kill 1 spider for 2 scrap Ends turn 1 with 1 summoned spider and 2 scrap ready for turn 2.
  15. A little off topic here but do spiders drop scrap when "sacraficed" to create a swarm? If not how do people generate scrap makers in turn 2 for summoning (assuming you used Ramos pull on electric creation to get 1 first turn). Thanks.
  16. I am not limited to the starter set that is just what i have used to try get a baseline understanding. The schemes are simply to introduce things slowely as it is a slow grow. The six available under this are diverse enough that there is something for everyone. I have acolytes that i can throw in too, upgrades are allowed. First game i tried imbued energy on the golem and second i loaded the golem with defensive upgrades. Both games i took shattered on raspy. Wondered if i should have tried ice pillars?
  17. I have had 2 games in the local slow grow with the raspy starter box. Round 1 is Turf wars and 1 suited scheme (or line in the sand or faction specific scheme). Both games i have been pretty soundly beaten, 6-3 and 7-3. I am struggaling to make the standard raspy crew work. Ice golem smash has been very easily side steped in both games by either cosntantly giving the golem slow or simply knowing it is coming and cheating in to make it miss. I spread the gamin out to cast through but they get picked off far too easily and in both games i have ended up at big model count disadvantages by turn 3. One thought i had is that maybe paralize is more important in the crew than i had though and i should be spamming this around instead of damage?
  18. I am looking into getting ramos too and the one trick i will be trying out is Howard Langston with imbued energies. Brass arachnid gives him reactive. That means he can, Walk, walk, walk with nimble, reactivate, walk with nimble, walk with fast and charge. That means he can charge something within 31inch + MI range on the first turn. With his execution ability hitting twice you should stand a reasonable chance of doing heavy damage, draining your opponents hand or even kill something outright. Even when he eventually dies he should have taken something down and given you the chance to get a fair few spiders up meaning you can out activate your opponent all day long.
  19. Personally i liked the odd scenarios that were provided to play, such as the one in chronicles 14 where models heights were all over the place and they could only capture certain quarters depending on their height. Would be nice to see some more of those put forward.
  20. For anyone reading this i am from a group in Rugby and we have about 8 of us just getting into Malifaux
  21. I have just ordered the Rasputina box and wondering which direction to take it in. I wondered if any one has tried loading a list with devour models? I am thinking sabertooth cerebus, wendigo and hoarcat pride? General plan would be to throw cats forward with a golem, decembers touch the cats with the wendigo and raspy and then freeze over through it to paralyze and then use the cats to go an devour. With the mobility of the cats and cerebus, the ability to bounce freeze over through any model with the use of decembers touch it seems a reasonable idea to me. I know devour is hard to get off but i think with the number of devour attemps this list could potentially get out a turn you are likely to get at least 1 and burn your opponents hand pretty quick? Thoughts?
  22. I am new to the game but i really like this idea of using the fire and ice gamin together. It does seem a bit hard to get off though needing a 1ap cast to get frozen heart onto the model and then discarding a card for the ice gamin to boost the fire gamin and the whole time needing to remain within a relatively tight group to boost each other. I just think if an ice gamin is close enough to a fire gamin to buff it to push out damage this turn, you are probably in range and more likely to want to use Raspy's AP to cast straight through the ice gamin with December's curse.
