  1. I just want to say that I think its great that Nathan and Justin are happy to get on here to talk to people. Wyrd is such an awesome company, and I can't wait for my Henchman application to be (hopefully) approved so I can start repping them. Nb: not a hint to do my application, I'm happy to wait
  2. The zoraida box that came out at Gencon just had her as Neverborn (which is the old edition), instead of Neverborn/Gremlin as she should be and is shown as in the arsenal deck and rulebook. I would imagine Transmortis is the same. So I would go rulebook first, then arsenal deck, then FAQ/errata

  4. Just something I was wondering about, and want to check on, is: triggers that are X number of suit in final duel total. Most common time I see this (or play this) is with the Guild and their Crits on in final duel total. I have always thought that it applied to your duel total only, but does it actually count both players?
  5. As an easy way to think of (to me anyway), is that HtK basically stops you from being insta-gibbed. So no matter how hard someone smashes you with 1 go (ie Lady J flipping severe for damage with max crit), they are still going to have to waste another AP to finish you off. Or in the case of Seamus (who I normally play), it gives you 1HP with which to GTFO

  7. Pretty sure I have this right, but just want to make sure: If you are in a models at the start of an activation, can you move within that models range without taking a disengaging hit? eg, can you walk around a model to engage another one behind it?

  10. I can see how both sides of this could be argued, and both be correct. Yes you can play Malifaux with just a name written on a base, and you would be fine. But I love the face you don't rely on TLOS as you do in other games. This gives people the opportunity to make some really amazing look bases and models (wendigo is a good example), without worrying about how it will affect the game play or modelling for advantage

  16. Sorry to highjack, but just wanted to make sure I had this correct (as I think I have been playing it wrong). When shooting in to combat, you only randomise for models within 2" of the target you choose? So for example: I choose A as my target, who is engaged with B who has 3, and standing 1" from friendly C (and therefore no engaged with). Does this mean I would only randomise to hit A and C, as B is not within range
  17. I'm with Jonahmaul on this one, I have been playing it wrong. I read the rule Smokey Joe said and thought if you had a 2 and a 1 standing 2 inches apart, then they could both hit each other and make disengaging strikes. Didn't realise it was still an individual thing, has cleared up something I never really understood clearly
  18. Just declare exactly what you are planning on doing, saves problems all around. So in this case: 'I'm moving Lilith/Fuhatsu into base with you' 'Agreed. Now I am moving Fuhatsu back his 3' 'That's fine, I have 3 inch Ml range so we are still engaged' 'That makes sense to me, let's continue our game'
  19. Try playing against Ramos or a Resser crew, whatever you kill of theirs generally just comes back to life and can be placed in a better position to then run off and achieve VPs
  20. Just wondering if anyone has an idea how the new Kin stand size-wise compared the metal ones? I have the old box and I love the character on them (especially giving some the reversed peace), but they are really freaking tiny!

  22. Firstly, sorry if this is the wrong place to put this question. Was looking for some advice from people on how to make swamp/bayou water for the bases of my Kin crew. I was thinking of just mixing some green or brown ink/wash into pva glue and just pour it into the base (god I love lipped bases), thinking that when the glue dries it would either end up a murky colour or just have streaks of colour swirling through it (either I am happy with). Does anyone know if this would work, or have any better ideas?
  23. When I demo games, I normally go starter crew vs. starter crew. I leave out the soulstone and schemes, and just play move around the board and kill each other. I find this works well because 1) people can focus on using cards and how stats/abilities/actions work and 2) for long time wargaming players it helps them get used to taking turns activating single models, as opposed to entire crews at a time.
