  1. I've been thinking about playing Zoraida with gremlins myself. Question to the group, which is probably obvious: pay for the voodoo doll up front, or summon one in game? On the one hand, summoning saves three precious stones. On the other, summoning takes up valuable master actions in the early game. Thought?
  2. Bummer. I'd thought from the posting on the home page that the May releases would be shipping this week sometime.
  3. Any more word on whether the May releases have left the warehouse yet? I'm holding up placing an order until the retailer has them in stock.
  4. So the advise would be to obtain one piglet and the plastic slop hauler box when it comes out. Anyone know of a source for 1 piglet (and please, no Poo jokes)?
  5. Just few quick questions since the Bayou Boss set is (hopefully) almost on us. How many piglets does a starting Som'er player need? Do we know if any will be included in the Bayou Boss set? The hog whisper box? Is the hog whisperer a good buy, or would the slop hauler box be enough/better for a starter crew? thanks
  6. Last 24 hours for this one.
  7. I just listed a painted McMourning crew on ebay. Please feel free to take this down if this kind of posting is not appropriate here. Not sure of the etiquette. thanks http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=191170103001
  8. Good enough. I missed the definition of HtK in the faq. Thanks.
  9. Thanks for the responses. I agree its only relevant for McMourning, but thats what I've got. Praetordragoon, I think the argument for Poison overriding Hard to Kill got something like this. The faq specifies "Damage dealt by the Poison Condition may not be reduced." Hard to Kill effectively reduces the number of damage the model suffers by an amount that would leave the model with one remaining wound. Therefore, Hard to Kill would not work agains Poison. It's not a matter of Poison ignoring Hard to Kill, as it is determining which seemingly contradictory ability takes priority. I'm not saying that this is the right way of resolving the issue apparent discrepancy, just that it's one reasonable way.
  10. So it looks to me that in most cases the issue of Poison has been settled; anything that reduces damage does not reduce poison, but poison may be prevented by spending a soul stone. What I don't see an answer for is how Poison interacts with Hard to Kill. On one hand, Hard to Kill states that when the model "suffers damage, it may not be reduced below one wound." On the one hand, the choice of language seems to put Hard to Kill squarely in the realm of damage reduction such that it would not apply when the model is taking damage from Poison. On the other hand, the triggering condition in Hard to Kill seems to be the taking of the damage, not the limit on reduction Therefore a reasonable interpretation could also be that a model that she takes more damage from Poison than it has wounds, it would still only be reduced to one wound and not killed. Though I'm a budding McMourning player, I'm really not advocating for either interpretation. I would just like to get the groups take on how this should play out. thanks
  11. BBB and Notmikehill, sorry for not getting back to you. My wife is traveling so I'm doing single parent duty. Sounds like a plan to get together when things slow down in a week or two. I have a few people I'm trying to entice into the game, but not true converts yet. The questions is where to meet. And not upon the heath.
  12. There are a couple of us down in Northern Delaware who are trying to get into MF, but not a real community per se.
  13. I was also wondering if any of the contents of the Brewmaster crew would be contenders in the Som'er or Ophelia crews.
  14. I've asked a similar question about Brewmaster, but I'd be interested in hearing the collective wisdom; is he a viable master for a new player? Thoughts?
  15. I'm getting more and more tempted to throw in the money and do this. I was thinking of doing two boards: one would use two vaults boxes, while the other would be a combination of prison and sewers. Could someone who has those sets confirm that each would have enough for a 3x 3 Malifaux board with some intereting elevation changes, chambers, and other features. thanks
