  1. The nagging is so load it can even be heard outside WhatsApp. Will be down at Sanctuary in a fortnight. If you want to know where I've been and want a laugh just look at malifaux rankings, cannot play for shit at the moment
  2. gives you something to discus on WhatsApp
  3. Anybody have experience ordering from Zenit Miniatures ? couple of their oriental beasts look like they would do as proxies for Akaname the Oni poison minions.
  4. Ben, that weekend my house is hosting the Yorkshire Invitational Maulifaux Championships, we are play GG2016 schemes both days. Morgan may be playing so you could have a shot at the podium. Be warned though, Morgan hates losing so there be a bit or resentment, assuming you do actually win.
  5. Gaining Grounds 2016 regards schemes At most a technical issue in reality an issue because most people assume GG2016 = only GG2016 schemes which it doesn't. Surprised this would upset people given the comedy crew selection
  6. Graham Allington, the Yanks allowed Sandeep to be used straight out of the box at Gencon and all sorts of madness broke out, Catfood tins were being used as proxies, referees started punching players for "looking at the terrain funny", it was carnage. Please, please think of the children...
  7. more likely to be using the devourer as whilst it also big it is more practical.
  8. Bugger I miss-understood the question, thought never even thought about GG15 for Q2 response 2. thought the difference between option 1 & 2 was the strict rotation of strats and deployment in GG16 vs just randomizing. Who in there right mind would do a GG15 based tournament these days.
  9. It's how I imagine Yasunori in my mind's eye though for the malifaux you would need a Nekima being crushed under one of those feet.
  10. Finally the correct answer. No need for u-turns, me and James will deal with any backlashers...

    Lost Terrain

had two boxes of terrain I took back from Cow Wars. Cannot see how they your terrain would have got in but will check just in case.
  12. don't understand that last comment. Are disengaging strikes subject to the once per turn attack limit? If you have used his 3" attack during his activation then his engagement range drops to 2" ?
  13. Any thought on proxy for that Qilin ?
  14. Mark just to unpick the issue here. How the Strats and Schemes are generated whether it GG, random or picked is not a problem. Across the UK scene there is enough variety for it not skew the meta. Tournament format whether it is full disclosure, strats and deployment only, nothing until start of tournament or envelopes for each round are a matter of opinion and a bigger/duller discussion for another day. The issue I had was we shifted from a full or partial disclosure to nothing on the fly in the final days. We are however at a point that full disclosure has already occurred, just not to everyone. I did not believe (in truth I did not believe you had done that just posted in a way that made it look like you did) or suggest this was a deliberate attempt to give Josh an advantage but as things are it is where we have ended up. The best way to fix this is, disclose to all and chalk it up to experience.
  15. Mark, you generated the strats and schemes whilst sitting on a plane with a tournament participant using the phone of a tournament participant and you have now decided to keep them secret until the day of the tournament ? Mark can you not see how that does not look good? Whilst I don't expect how it looks reflects how it is. Making it up as you go along causes the process to be rather opaque and messy. The rules packs say Strats in advance and schemes in advance or on the day (two wholly different things). Given the need to keep timing incredibly tight to fit in the four turns there is enough to juggle regards opponent faction and table terrain. I fail to see how extra uncertainty adds to the fun of the event. I know there are a proportion of the community who like this format but I don't see many who actively advocate for this attending. Can we please have the more sensible Stats and Schemes so we can be a prepared as possible for the rapid turn around required by the schedule?
  16. Also the other "that guy" who is just a little slower on the up take.... technically we are "those guys" now or as I prefer "the guys". not surprisingly I am wanting to peddle a similarly fluffy crew choice as Mr Doxy ...
  17. He is in Sterling on Saturday, there will be enough blowhards around to help get it finished and posted...
