  1. That is exactly my question, I have only played it in Pandoras favor as I am the Henchman, and I will always play a rule in my opponents favor if I can not answer the question with 100% accuracy...
  2. To make sure that no one use these, I am just going to copy/paste what I wrote on the other forum you have posted this. I hope you understand that this is not something personal, I really think you did a great job otherwise. But I just dont want other people to do as much work as I did, just to find out they cant use it. "I am of course greatful that you even want to do all this, but the cards are so filled with errors, missing text, and just completely false text that no one should use them. I think the cards are beautiful, and you have really done a great job on the design, so again thanks for that. But I sadly ended up printing them out in full colours, cutting them from the paper and laminating them before I noticed all the errors... I will post some of the things I found, before simply giving up on all the errors: Bodyguard- starting on turn 4 not on turn 2, 1extra VP if model still in play at the end of the game with more then half health. Protect territory- "non-peon", more enemy models then friendly cursed object- At the end of every turn, after the first. Plant explosive- rewrite the text Deliver a message- missing text at the last part Take Prisoner- nothing about non-leader- rewrite text."
  3. Greetings everyone! I just started reading blogs with googles Blog Spot/Blogger, but I have a really hard time finding good blogs about Malifaux, painting and just wargaming in generel. So I hoped some of you guys know about some blogs, or maybe even are writing something yourself?
  4. I kinda think this is an easy question to explain- when you hire a henchman into a crew with a master, he is not promoted to the leader of the crew and can therefore not have a totem.
  5. I have the exact same problem, and we have played it like that aswell. However I still cant find anywhere in the rules where this is actually explained, so I have never been able to give my players a specific rule when they ask :/
  6. So I tried the last setup mentioned before with the Fermented Monk and Performer. The Fermented Monk seemed really good for 5SS, and extremely easy to buff in the first turn with BM, as you can just relent the duel for BM to cast the poison on him. I had some problems getting the Fermented monk in possition with his lack of CG, but when he was in the face of the enemy, he hits like a truck, and are even able to reactivate without to much of a hassle. The Performer however was not exactly what I had hoped for, in fact she was more or less useless. I will have to do some more tests before I can give my final answer, but as of right now, she is not a model I would use in a BM crew considering all the other great options you could go with instead. Today I will try to use BM in a pure Gremling crew, replacing 10T archer with Mctavish(for firing into melee) and Dawn Serpent with Whiskey Golem. I will report back with the results afterwards
  7. There are master specific totems, and there are generic faction specific totems. I see no reason why a henchman who are leading a crew(turning him into the leader), can not hire the generic faction totem.
  8. I know you did, which is the reason I went out of my way to answer you with a lengthy example instead of just giving you the page number. But either way I always think its nice to know the page number, besides it might come in handy for other people reading this post, who might actually have the elusive book with them
  9. A side question about conditions in relationship to abilities. - Whiskey Golem have the tactical action called "Fine" Craftmanship, which gives him the condition Iron Bound, which gives the model +2DF. Now the condition "Iron Bound" does not have a number, which would imply that it does not stack, meaning I can not use this ability to stack my DF to +4... However the effect of Iron Bound, does have a number(+2df as mentioned before). So can this ability stack or not?
  10. You should see it like this- The TN is you trying to hit the target, if you get equal or higher number then the required TN value, then you hit the target and you can proceed with the (opposed) duel as usual. If you do not meet the requirements for the TN, you will then have the option to cheat as usual, or you will miss with the attack. The new rules for this is very simple and streamlined, but also to a point where I have had some veterans confused, as they insist on breaking it up in multiple duels ^^ But I dont understand why you think it would be a "simple duel" though? A simple duel is when there are no opponent to resist the duel- fx if you want to break down a wall, or arm explosives etc. The rules are on page.30(simple duels) and on page.32 (opposed duels)
  11. Well that makes it pretty simple to understand, thanks again ^^
  12. Thanks Ausplosions A new question- Does slow effect stack? - If my 10T archers shoots a master 2times and hits with the slow effect, would the slow effect then stack, meaning the master would only have 1AP left?
  13. As a Henchman I would never allow it- neither in social/fun games nor in competitions period.
  14. It would be really awsome if someone could answer me on the whole LoS thing- and for those who cant be bothered, I am just going to quote myself in the hopes that someone will answer ^^ "So I could say something like- if the model is HT2, and there are 3inches to the edge, there would be no LoS period. However if the Model was HT3, and there are 3inches to the edge, there WOULD be LoS, in which case LoS would be drawn from the characters base ignoring the cliff, and measuring in a diagonal line downwards instead of horizontal. If any line passes through terrain, of which the targeted model is within 1inch, the target will still get cover, but if any line can still be drawn to the base of the target there will still be LoS making it a valid target? - Have I understood the rules correctly, or are there anything I have missed or need to be aware of with these rules?"
  15. But if we continue with my example then- would both of those scheme markers then count towards VP? I see you dont mention anything about friendly scheme markers, does this mean that the 4inch rule also applies with the enemy scheme markers?
  16. Another question this time about scheme markers- I know that you can not place a scheme marker within 4 of another friendly scheme marker, but does this mean that it wont count towards VP, or is it simply never allowed to place a friendly scheme marker within 4inches? Example: There are many creatures that drops scheme markers when they die, so if two of these creatures dies within 3inches of each other, would I simply have to remove/not place one of them?
  17. I fully agree, his options as a T10 master is really awsome - and please keep it coming, im getting some really nice ideas with all of this ^^
  18. I personally think thats way to many resources to use just for a few movement tricks, especially as I dont see neither Lenny nor piglets do anyhting else for a BM crew. You also have to consider all the great models with awsome synergy you have to leave out just to do that
  19. That sounds absolutely amazing! - I will hold out on buying anything from other shops then You are more then welcome to update us asap when you hear something new about it btw
  20. So I could say something like- if the model is HT2, and there are 3inches to the edge, there would be no LoS period. 21. As far as I know, you can stack focus all you like, but as it cost 1AP every time, it is very limited who would be able to stack focus more then one time. - Focus gives you +1 to any duel. Can someone verify this info before I write it in the first post?^^ It would also be nice if anyone could elaborate Joels answer, as just saying "yes" to my players would most likely just lead to more questions
  22. Thank you so much for your critic Mako! - I learn way more from that kind of post, then people just trying to be nice. I actually think people on this forum is way to nice in generel with these things, which kinda ends up biting people in the ass( I think thats what you say in english? in danish we say "en bjørnetjeneste" . If people are just told how good they are, and no one ever cuts to the point, and tells them what is bad and what they could do better, they will never improve IMO. @Fetid Strumpet thanks for the advice, I guess thats another thing I need to learn then ^^
  23. Dont be sorry, I think this is both an interesting and needed/relevant discussion, so I wholeheartedly approve ^^ I am however still very new to this hobby, so I would not feel comfortable interfering to much- as long as people can keep the tone sober and respect that people can have different opinions, I truly hope that the moderators will let this thread live aswell Another thing I would like to through into the discussion aswell though- I overheard some people from the local club, that they had voted on the teddy(second place in my Category). mostly because it apparently had been altered in some cool way. Is this normally something of great importance in every painting competition, so I need to be able to sculpt aswell to score some points?
  24. Wauw, I had not seen the Performer beta model, but they look like they are made for a BM crew! (1) Poisoned Hairpin (Ml 6 / Rst: Wp / Rg: y1): Target suffers 1/3/5 damage and gains the Poison +2 Condition. (1) Siren Call (Ca 6t / TN: 10t / Rst: Wp / Rg: 12): Push target model its Wk towards this model. C To Their Doom: After succeeding, the target gains the Paralyzed Condition if it is in base contact with this model. R Deadly Dance: After succeeding, immediately take a (1) AP Ml Attack Action against the target if it is within range and LoS. t A Sip of Wine: After succeeding, the target suffers damage equal to its Poison Condition value. Remove the Poison Condition from the target. That could be an insane combo with BM! ^^ ---------- Post added at 04:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:36 PM ---------- Alright, so this is my new BM list... Of course it is uncertain if the 2 beta models will stay the same, but if they do... THINK OF THE POSSIBILITIES! ^^ Ten Thunders Crew - 50 - Scrap BM(3ss chache) +Hold Their Hair Back [1] +Running Tab [2] +Binge [1] Moon Shinobi [6] Moon Shinobi [6] Thunder Archer [7] Torakage [6] Dawn Serpent [10] Performer [6] Fermented River Monk [5] =50SS
  25. For that price I could take 2xMoon Shinobi though, who can choose to attack WP just like Bishop AND have synergi with all the poison flowing around a Brewmaster crew (aswell as being able to spread poison out themselves). I would personally always take my brewmaster crew together with 10T- their archers can shoot into melee while Moon Shinobis dances around, the new Fermented River Monk is insane with Brewmaster, Torakage are better at schemes then Fingers IMO(ignoring disengage), and a dragon that spreads poison around like a boss - My biggest problem with this setup, is choosing between Whiskey Golem and the Dawn Serpent >>
