  1. Oh, I understand. I have another question, about where do you and your friends live? If all else fails, Wyrd does have a list of retailers that sell Malifaux
  2. I guess the question is what exactly are you aiming for in terms of the final product? Are you using it for a gold metal, or a gold cloth? From what I know, depending on that and how vibrant you want the gold to be will change the type of undercoat and how you finish with the gold (dry brush, highlight, layer).
  3. From what this podcast said, as soon as they begin updating the new ones, the old ones will no longer be available. This means that, as they release each new updated box, you will not see old sculpts unless the stores decide they still want to sell them. On the distribution end, they will simply stop making them and you gotta hope your store will stock whats left
  4. As my friend always said, washing is 'instant talent'. It introduces shading to the miniature without the need of much skill...at least in the beginning I think the most notable is the skin...using a simple sepia wash can really catch all of your shadows...but the illuminated looks amazing...so I'd say maybe just research skin...it's so hard to get, I'm still trying to improve my skintones myself...and there is so much skin on those miniatures D: Keep up the great work!
  5. A quick fix to gloss seal is to cover it with a flat finish but either way, fantastic colors
  6. I think my friend pointed it out right when he saw this...the only big change is what we assume is myranda...the rest is pretty true to the marcus appearance
  7. I know it's not a model, but you could always say the Rules Manual is discontinued...they are no longer printing the smaller, portable one that was $15
  8. I'm pretty sure you dont need a store to be a henchman?
  9. Nothing I can do about the pic It's what Eric decided to show us haha
  10. AND IT IS MARCUS!! https://twitter.com/ericjgames/status/336946069470588928/photo/1
  11. I think it would be very cool if we could make a fan page or something to track this!
  12. Now, I know this is strange, and I'm not entirely familiar with the process, but I was curious if Wyrd ever wanted to establish a tracking system. Much like how MTG does it, each player has their own ID that they can use at established stores to track their games. Then, the information is uploaded, and we can look online to see how many points people have earned for games, what schemes they tend to play, and anything else. I'm sure this is very much a tech heavy thing, but I for one would be curious to see this system in place. Granted, you can't legally copy Wizards' planswalker point program, but I think it would be a great way to see how the community is playing their games. Also, it would be a fantastic way to track what schemes and strategies are played most and are most successful for each master? ...just a thought haha
  13. Yeah, I voted Kirai but I assumed they would be waiting for book 2 masters....hence why I'd like to see Kaeris...a henchmen upgrade would be fantastic to see today!
  14. People should follow EricJ on Twitter...he likes to post these types of voting things to reveal new crews I voted Kirai and Kaeris Who do you want to see?
  15. Okay, I finished my skin, let me take a photo for ya! ---------- Post added at 10:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:55 PM ---------- ...or not, maybe otmorrow I love the final outcome, and I couldn't have done it without this tutorial!
  16. Okay, this dual was is AMAZING! I dind't even think about it! Greenblack and brown make the skin look CRAZY
  17. I will for sure post it in my thread, and I'll make sure to shout out to you! I'm also trying this oxidized metal technique...so I'll post that
  18. I also have that page saved...waiting for the final pictures
  19. I just wanted to say thank you for this thread, I'm using the technique now to try and paint Levi's horse haha we will see how it turns out!
  20. A lot of us at my local game shop use cork board...it's easy to put on, you can push models into it, and you can paint it to look like stone
  21. I didn't do this one fully, but I did do the leopard spots!
  22. Wow Bleach, I love the subtle colors of orange and blue on a beige dress!! And the shading you can do on such a light color is amazing I can really tell you have developed a trademark in terms of colors for your crews, and yet you do a great job of making them all unique - the Bleached Malifaux haha
  23. Wait, they released the new Vicki Box Art?
  24. Didn't that new fluff mention burning skulls? http://www.malifaux.com/Downloads/DeadofWinter.pdf I'm pretty sure half-way through the death marshall explodes with power into a burning mass? A.K.A goes super saiyan haha
  25. I mean, if your worst argument is skimpy clothing, it's not the end of the world. Check out the Anima miniature game if you want to see skimpy - the miniatures do not have a lot of clothing, but if the sculpts are well done, and the poses are dynamic, I dont mind skimpy. And this is coming from a girl
