Had an interaction that I wasn't sure how to deal with: a mature nephilim and a guilty were both on 1 WD each. the Guilty attacked to kill the Mature. Regarding the Demise ability on The Guilty, what should the outcome be? I imagine the black blood activates and kills the guilty, but the mature dies as well, so there is no target for the Punish the Wicked upgrade. I just want to be sure that there is no chance that the guilty dies first and puts the upgrade onto the mature, then the mature dies summoning a new guilty. That is Magical Christmas Land dreaming, right?

We will be running a grow league at The Game Table in Carbondale Illinois from April 4th to May 5th. The Game Table is located at 606 S. Illinois Ave Carbondale Il. 62901 (618)-457-8383 Grow League starts April 4th. It is a 4 week league with a tournament on the 5th week. Entry is $10. (or purchase of a crew box from The Game Table) Each participant chooses a faction and starts with a crew box in that faction. Week 1 will be 25ss crews. Week 2 will be 30ss crews. Week 3 will be 40ss crews. Week 4 will be 50ss crews. You play as many games in a week as you'd like. During the first game in a week, a win gets you 2 League Points (LP), a tie gets 1 LP, and a loss gets 0 LP. Any subsequent games played will receive 1 LP win or lose. (max 2). The Strategies and Schemes for each week will be posted in the Southern Illinois Malifaux Facebook page the tuesday night prior. It will also be available in store at The Game Table. All games must be played at The Game Table to count. At the end of the league who ever has the most LP wins. (additional prizes will be awarded for tournament winner, most Victory Points accrued throughout the league, so make sure to report those! And best painted model determined via majority vote during week 4.) Additional LP can be earned in the following ways: 1.) purchasing a Wyrd product at The Game Table is 2LP (limit once per league) 2.) playing a game with a fully painted crew. 1LP (limit once per league) 3.) Flipping (not cheating) a joker when your opponent flips (not cheats) the opposite joker 1LP (both players earn this) 4.) Play a game without using a SoulStone. 1LP (limit twice per league) 5.) I like playing Changelings with Collodi. Changelings and something like McTavish or Lazarus can put out a lot of decent shots. Collodi can 'My Will' on those spooky kids to get more shots with a positive.

I'm very partial to Widow Weaver with Collodi for the web markers. Also Lazarus and some Changelings. Changelings copying the grenade launcher is pretty good!

Fixed faction. This league is geared towards new players and building a bigger local player base, and as such there will be no painting requirements. I used metal stolen for mine as well. But I drilled out the faces so they have a hollow shell like look. Gave them 40k Harlequin masks for extra spookiness.

I like WW to start also. Throw an incidious madness in there for the anti WP. And a changeling to get some more terror exhaled everywhere. You could put the Mimics blessing on WW for a bit of added protection. Coppelius would come with me as well if I was playing it. Yeah, he doesn't fit with the puppet/minion theme, but he is still a great scheme runner/anti scheme runner.

I plan on trying out a crop of changelings and Lazarus with Collodi this Sunday. In a perfect world you can get a total of 16 grenade launcher shots off. (Utilizing My Will and Surprize). Another one that is kind of silly: copying a lucky effigy's crusty blade. It actually gets better with the Ml4!
