  3. Will there be a need to purchase multiple copies of card, like for example, I have 4 guild guards. Normally there are two to a clam shell. Will there only be two or three available in the card box. Same question pose for bayou gremlins, but I have eight of them. Will there be the possibilty of purchasing individual cards rather than buying multiple decks.
  4. I am excited a out new rules new masters and new models. However I dread the thought at having to replace 100+ stat cards...
  5. Ryles gatling gun trigger only goes off once per shot. So if you flip severe on the trigger nothing further happens as there was no duel trigger to cause gun trigger again.
  6. I like dogs with most resser masters (not Kirai) for objective grabbing, speed, and debuffs. They can reduce wp on a trigger and two dogs reduce df when in melee with one target.
  7. I may catch some heat for the recommedation but you may consider having guild autopsies handy also. The reason I suggest this is that the doctor can summon them and they can be good surprises late game for the win. I have won more than one game simply due to them being able to interact with objectives and the fact that they are significant models. They can lay down the hurt too, as I was able to blow up an ashigaru with one, because they get an auto plus flip when doing damage with their gun.
  8. Izamu is a great model. He is difficult to kill especially when you have 2 models capable of healing him. McTavish is a very good model with the nurse as you can massive dose him to give reactivate an fire 6 shots in a turn and dispel the sacrifice effect. Convict gunslinger is a great model to add for some ranged attack as that is what most mcmourning crews are missing. ---------- Post added at 08:21 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:19 AM ---------- I would avoid the punk zombies as they are usually killed before they ever get into melee. All the other models you mentioned are very good options.
  9. A good pairing with the nurse is mctavish. He can gain reactivate and put out 6 shots a turn. Just remember to do his 0 action dispel during the reactivate and hold onto a card for it or he is gone quick. Nurses don't seem like they do much but they can be very useful. I used one to prevent a loss by prevent my opponent from being able to kill models for slaughter.
  10. Lucius is a great Henchmen and a workable master. His ability reinforcements is useful for lining up a strike. He can sacrifice a Guardsman to gain reactivate, gets a bonus to defense when near a guardsman, can potentially replace a bad card with a good card or get rid of a worse card, and can essentially obey guardsmen models to move or make a melee or ranged attack. However to get the most out of Lucius you need some guardsmen models (Guards, Riflemen, Pathfinders, Austringers, Captain, Ryle, or Lawyer). Models that work well with Lucius All Guild Masters, Guardsmen/Elite Division, Executioner, Sidir, The Judge (to less effect), and Samael Hopkins.
  11. The Lacroix box set is not a bad place to start to learn gremlins. Somer is tough to wrap your head around but once you do he is very challenging for opponents to deal with short of attacking WP. Wong is a great gremlin to have for the ability to make weapons magical. Gracie is a cheaper version of a Warpig. She won't stampede, but she can heal herself, create stampede targets and she is armored. Bert is great all around as a melee hitter, shooter and for objective purposes as he counts as two models. Pigapult will not be much help to the Lacroix unless you have a gremlin taxidermist along with stuffed piglets as Ophelia can't hire pigs. Bayou Gremlins are bread and butter. I suggest having at least 8 on standby when playing Somer. 2 points a piece for models that can have 3 AP and 5/8 walk charge and are significant models are very good. Last piece of advice when playing gremlins your models are going to die. Make sure they die when it benefits you.

  14. The only thing that would be needed from the book for McCabe is the chart of what he can hire when ten thunders and the rules for wound allocation as that is different for McCabe than all other models.
  15. I have found that with McCabe I really have to fight the urge to run McCabe out and fight on his own. In the 3 games I have run him in, he died all three times because he was unsupported. McCabe should avoid melee with melee models. Besides that build to the strategy.
  16. Will we get more vermin at some point for somer? Rats and mosquitoes are okay, but will there be anything else like for instance gremlin vandals (kids).
  17. As an outcast I would go with 9+ soulstones. Giving a negative flip on defense and resist duels isn't enough to offset all the other abilities headshot being the most devastating. He has to cost at least 8 due to him being Nino, Hans and a trapper combined.

  19. The lawyer is a beast (pun intended) to use well. Big disadvantages are his movement and card dependency. Big advantages are buffing friendly models with hard to wound and paralyzing or scaring enemy models and cover from most targetted attacks (casting and melee I think).
  20. I found that Bishop with a drill sergeant linked works pretty well. He was able to take down coryphee duet in three attacks.
  21. if you are going to run guild riflemen you might want to consider finding room for a Drill Sergeant in the list if possible. Having paired flips on the riflemen is really scary.
  22. Yes. Especially since he no longer has access to it. Would have been nicer to have a dual swords or sword and whip option in my opinion.
  23. Unless you are going to need a morale buff from the captain, I would consider rlye. Ryle is better at range, and just as good at melee. The only set back for Ryle vs captain being the captain has H2W And rRyle doesn't. Ryle can push out of melee with most of misakis crew and is faster than the captain though.
  24. I have played Mali since February 2012. Ressers were first pick up, Gremlins second, and now I am doing guild because I thought they would be more challenging and they are. Experience using guild masters in most to least: Lucius (7 games), Lady J (3), McCabe (2), Sonnia (2), Perdita (1), Hoffman (0) Just haven't had much luck dealing with melee masters/lists with guild. The greatest moment I had was using a Guild Lawyer to get Lord Chompy to Fall back.
  25. I am running McCabe as Guild. I have only played 2 games with him, so still trying to figure out his tricks. Biggest issue I guess is spreading too much, with the rest of his crew. The two games I have run him, both were supply wagon. Sidir got wrecked in Melee both times cause masters (LJ and Mei) punched him in the face both times. McCabe did great both games but got wrecked in melee due to volume of incoming attacks even with Strange metal shirt. Just could not get damage done in any regard against foes, even with a red joker twice. McCabe was paralyzing and slowing just fine. Just ran into the issue my crew couldn't keep up and shoot with him. It seems to do well he needs to run up shoot and back up, to let his minions keep up with him. Wastrels I have learned are for taking objectives and slowing down a model for a turn at best, cause they will be dead sooner than later once they enter melee regardless of load out. Have not tried taking Austringers or Nino with him, because I thought it was just leaning on the crutch too much. Models that I think would work well for him (as guild only): Ryle Austringers Nino Drill Sergeant Ortegas Witchlings Watcher Guardian Pale Rider Exorcist As 10T Mr. Tannen Mr. Graves Ten Thunders Archer Torakage Oryan Ten Thunders Brothers Rail Workers Either Jack Daw Hans?
