  1. Hey all, I finally got all the materials together to put together some homemade tokens I've been working on! I posted the instructions and links to stuff I used in the Hobby forum, but thought you folks here might appreciate some pictures of how they turned out. I hope you like them! And here's how they look beside actual models.
  2. So I've been fiddling with a Voodoo inspired proxy crew (with a Mambo and Loup Garou), and this is my homemade WIP Bad Juju. A clay sculpt with shells and some found plastic bits. Not done yet, as each time I work on him the urge to change his reed mohawk into vine dreadlocks grows. I will also be able to try out water effects on his base, which I've never done before. Haven't yet decided if I want to paint over the sand to give his mud some areas of texture... I've been out of the painting game now for... wow, since 2007?!? Jeez... My skills are a bit rusty with a brush so I'm working on a few larger models to get myself back into the groove before I paint up my crew. What do you guys think so far? Any tips on making him look as natural and earthy as possible?

  6. I have been working on an idea that I have for a new Crew to add to Malifaux, and I am now to the point that I am looking for some rules to make sure they are somewhat balanced. I have tried searching for similar threads, but I have found nothing. Thus, I am starting this thread. So, I am curious if anyone else has tried to make up their own rules as well, and if anyone has any suggestions for balancing the models. At this point, it seems like it is really going to be an issue of making sure they "feel" right and playtesting with my friends. I have a fairly well developed idea of the theme and background for this crew, so I should be able to stick with the theme to try to avoid being overpowered. Also, I am wondering what the folks at Wyrd would think of the idea of players submitting homemade, playtested crews. I'm sure most players would love to see their ideas added to the Malifaux world. I appreciate any suggestions.
