  1. I'm sure you'd use Colette's WP The "As if it were this model" doesn't specify for what contexts it does or doesn't include. Without clarification I assume it means all contexts. Otherwise it would need something like: "for the purposes of" to spell out the limited contexts where the token counts as the Colette model. Like if you wanted to Charge as your general action, it means that it counts against Colette's once per activation charge limit. It would mean that is the token took damage or gained a condition, during that action, it would happen to Colette since it counts as her. If you had a distraction marker Concentrate the Focus would go on Colette. Or if you spent a focus it would be Colette's. You couldn't use Routine Performance to shoot Colette and summon a dove, since both count as the Colette model and models can't target themselves with attack actions.
  2. I think there's bound to be some confusion. Markers have been used for LoS before, but I don't know that they've ever taken actions. Like what happens when you walk with the marker through hazerdous terrain?
  3. You may be right. Though it does say, "as though it were this model" which makes me think that you'd use Colette's current stats and conditions for everything. Like if Colette were distracted you'd take the on an attack. "(and using this models stat card)" seems to make it a bit more confusing. If it was just reminder text, you wouldn't normally include "and", right?
  4. The more I look at the new Colette the more I like her. Like Routine Performance doesn't specify non-charge general action, so you can get a little more mobility out of Distraction markers and Doves. Also the summon doesn't specify Enemy only. It makes me wonder if it would be worthwhile to bring a Mannequin to shoot for doves. Also, Colette's ability to scheme all over the place seems pretty strong with the new Performer Harata's Haka. If Colette is in the Tutu pulse, she's got a potentially huge threat range of no resist moves. Unless I'm reading the rules interaction wrong.
  5. I think she's going to be pretty effective at disruption. Stagger + moving an enemy 8" is pretty big. But without a way to get the Distracted markers upfield it might not be as good as it sounds. The doves will probably have to do that heavy lifting there. It seems like her big use is Don't Mind Me + being able to scheme at multiple points in the map. I could see her doing two or even three interacts a turn. Given that she doesn't seem to have a huge crew synergies in this title, maybe you just take the best OoK beaters and let her handle most of the scheming.
  6. I don't like the new Colette art. She looks positively matronly.
  7. I don't think horse thievery is on the table. He's "Dead man walking" not "dead man riding"
  8. Zorida, power walking granny.
  9. This was my thought too. A charge getting you 4 healing and 13" of total movement seems big. You can do it with low mask to so don't have to stone. Between it and Impromptu Invention, she has a massive tool box of options in just two abilities.
  10. I'm not too impressed with most of the triggers. Burnt to a Crisp on Firecracker Flingshot seems like the one I'd want the most often. But Sammy already has ranged scheme marker removal. Though the guaranteed mask on Clean Up Duty makes kinda makes me want to run him with Gluttony. Put down glass markers then make the opponent push through them and eat them. Or get Flame Wall on something then force a model to eat the Pyre and set up for another Tar Bomb.
  11. Interesting. I honestly hadn't even tried using the upgrades with Sammy. Jynx does so much work for me with glowy tokens for Glimpse the Void.
  12. The same way Gluttony can make someone eat two grand pianos. Bayou magic.
  13. Yeah those are the big ones that sprung to my mind. We don't know how Fractured Misaki will play yet. But if she's shadow marker dependant, she might not like marker removal crews.
  14. I usually don't take much OoK with Kin. When I do it's usually a Bokor hanging out with Sammy. Swamp Spirits would normally be a great action, but it kind of interferes with Sammy's card draw, so this might be a better use. Sammy could often use more healing. On a related note, New Ophelia kinda made me realize how situational most of that crew's bonus actions are. For example I think I've used Shrug Off and Putrefy like twice in all of 3rd.
  15. I think Zipp is a pretty good choice still. Torakage are fast, but they're al so DF 5, with 6 wounds and no defense outside of Stealth. Zipp and The First Mate shouldn't have too much trouble hunting them down. I generally agree that removing the shadows usually isn't worth the effort. But sometimes it is if you can dictate where Misaki will show up. I might try out Gluttony, Maddening Drums is one of my favorite marker removal abilities. In Keyword, Mancha can pick up shadows and beat the opponent with them. Also, while situational Infamous has a lot of models on 40mm or bigger bases. If they park on top of a shadow, it doesn't remove it but it denies it as an unburry point and cuts line of sight for stuff like Ninja Vanish.
  16. That's true. But she's still not the damage dealer she was. You don't need Merris or Pere for burning. But they help, since they can do it without needing a Young LaCroix babysitter and have a slightly longer threat range. This is kind of my feeling so far. But I've only played the one game to date. It seems like the answer to "When do you play OG Ophelia?" Might be "When you're okay with playing lower power, for lower complexity."
  17. Gimme That lets you discard a card to get focus when you detach for any reason. So you could potentially have a Young Attach an upgrade then shoot Rami el to Plink! and get focus.
  18. I'm not sure yet. I've only played the one game so far. I want to try new Ophelia out a bit more. The lack of Condition removal is potentially big. But like Shin said, OG Ophelia has more concentrated firepower. Like instead of taking Three Tar Bomb attacks with three Raiders, you could potentially just have Ophelia take the three Tar Bomb, and some other, attacks herself. Given that the upgrades encourage you to keep Young LaCroix near models, and you want to probably get burning form one model to set up your damage spike, and Ophelia wants to keep models in LoS, I kind of played like a bubble crew. Maybe OG Ophelia is the pick when you need to spread out.
  19. So, had my first game last night with New Ophelia. Faced off with New McCabe. And came out in top 4-6. We both made play errors, but I came out on to via sheer damage output. We called it turn 4 when he had two models almost dead models on the field and I still had half my crew to activate. Tar Bomb is a monster. Pretty much the whole crew will revolve around using this as much as possible. 3/5/6 + Burning+2 ends models especially when they already have a little damage on them from when burning was applied. The Focus from Gimme That was huge this game. But I don't know if that will stay true in all games. I had some pretty garbage hands even after stoning. The LaCroix Raiders were stellar when they got Easy Targets. The opponents Shadow Effigy and it's concealment Aura was an MVP. Going from a to a was big. from Concealment and Friendly Fire was even worse leaving them kind of standing around waiting until someone else could do something about the situation. Which kind of leads into my next take away. Activation order matters a lot more to the crew.( And placement to keep LoS between Sz 1 models). Ophelia doesn't want to activate until she's got three models with upgrades to pull off. The upgrades are a limited resource, and you are probably detaching them as soon as you can to free it up for another model to use. For the most part the only guys holding upgrades where the Young LaCroix or models that needed healing. So sometimes you're in a rough spot. You need Ophelia to get models out of melee and really you want the Young to go before her, so you're weighing time sensitive stuff against big potential card draw. The crew is a lot of fun, but New Ophelia definitely has a lot more moving parts to juggle than OG Ophelia. I want to try her out against a more melee centric crew. Her pushes and ranged staggered seem more useful at disrupting guys that want to close than Sidir or Fuhatsu who are happy to gun down gremlins at range.
  20. Nice. I got my first game in with new Ophelia versus new McCabe. It was a lot of fun. Won 6v4. I will probably post my thoughts/ a short barrel in the morning.
  21. Yeah this crew is going to be really good at scheming. With Extra Head the model either lives long enough to scheme or gets to scheme when it's attacked/killed.
  22. That makes way more sense than: "This random Ghost has a side gig as a mercenary."
  23. Ram Trigger is only once per turn. It occurs to me that with Hold These For Me and Clean-Up Duty the whole crew has access to a Los ignoring attack. This seems pretty stellar on some boards. Newphelia might like Zipp as a second Master so that he can put up walls the crew can shoot over, but the opponent can't.
  24. I may have to finally pick up thier box. Stat 7 (or with focus) on Clean up Duty is going to spread a whole lot of injured. With the ability to attach upgrades, get re-summoned or even scheme with It's Broken, I'm looking forward to using Young LaCroix more aggressively. That means there will also probably be more corpses around for Looted Supplies. Lol

Had the same thought about Simulacrum 29. Hope we get the chill avatar models back at some point. Big hopes for Somer and Peaches.
