1. With the Poison Errata, a model no longer needs to deal damage in order to apply poison counters to its target, it only needs to hit with an attack. Does this mean that a model such as Coppelius, which has Poison 2 on his Long Clawed Fingers will inflict poison counters on models it successfully hits with a disengaging Strike? From the rules, it would seem that it is the case as a disengaging Strike is still an attack.
2. Yes, yes it is. Page 33, under General Actions: (1) Pass: This model does nothing for this Action.
3. It depends on how the tokens/effects are applied. For example, Kaeris' Ignite says that models damaged get a Burning Token. If your original target doesn't take damage, he doesn't get a token. If there was an ability that gave out Burning Tokens when the target is hit (like Poison) then that would be different. As far as Rusty Alice's Rust spell, the effect does not depend on the model getting damaged. It simply states that the target receives Slow. So while the damage can get passed along, whoever gets hit will still be Slow. PS. Whether you ask at the store, on our own boards or here, I'm still gonna answer
4. She has to keep going with whichever one she went with. So if you Pacify, you can only Pacify again. She has no ability to get around the one (0) action per turn beyond being able to re-use the one she just used successfully.
5. I asked this myself a long time ago. Here's the response. http://www.wyrd-games.net/showthread.php?27410-Pandora-The-Box-Opens-and-Mental-Anguish&p=347379&viewfull=1#post347379 What The Box Opens doesn't remove is things that ignore Wp duels. There's a difference between ignores and immune in game terms. ---------- Post added at 11:15 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:45 AM ---------- Sure they are, unless it is specified to the contrary: see Nightmare and Soulless vs. Construct, Undead and Spirit characteristics on Pages 9 & 10 of the rulebook. Constructs, Spirit and Undead specifically say they are non-living and immune to Morale Duels in their rules. Nightmare and Soulless only specify non-living. All non-living does is make you unaffected by Terrifying (as per its rule), which while a Morale Duel is not the only type of Morale Duel. That's different as I mentionned in my previous [edit: merged] post. Perdita's See The Unseen allows her to ignore any spell/talent that restricts targeting which is what allows her to bypass Pandora's Expose Fears ability.
6. Yes it does. It also strips Immune to Influence and Breach Psychosis (Ryle).
7. The Stitched are just great all-around against Gremlins. Early on, with Creepy Fog, they are one-way LoS blockers. I say one-way because Diving Attack doesn't require LoS. Later turns, they take advantage of the Gremlin's horrible Wp4 by Gambling with them. As for activation sequence, this part of my first turn is always the same regardless of my enemy. I'm sure this is not the most optimal way to do it, but it's worked for me so far. Deployment is Young Nepihlim and Desperate Merc both base to base with the BBS and a Tot in melee range of the Merc. 1. Activate BBS, Defensive Stance, Blood Offering, cast Blood Magic (doing 3 wounds to Desperate Merc) and giving Fast to Young. BBS has 1 Blood Counter. 2. Activate Tot, kill Desperate, Healing Flip on BBS, Drain Blood, try to cast Grow. BBS now has 2 Blood Counters (gained one from Blood Sense) and 1 Corpse Counter (from being in base contact with Desperate when it died). 3. Activate Young, cast Mature (using Blood Counters on BBS), placing the Mature in front of the BBS while remaining in base contact. Depending on my enemy/terrain, I may then cast Carry twice to move up the BBS. The rest of the activations will depend on what my enemy does.
8. Point-wise, the Primordial Magic is the same as a Cherub. It is really hard to play with anything other than the Primordial when you get used to the extra card. My goto list vs Gremlin with Lilith is the following: Open Spoiler Neverborn Crew - 35 - Scrap Lilith, Mother of Monsters -- 7 Pool Primordial Magic [2ss] Black Blood Shaman [6ss] Desperate Mercenary [2ss] Stitched Together [5ss] Stitched Together [5ss] Terror Tot Nephilim [3ss] Terror Tot Nephilim [3ss] Young Nephilim [6ss] I like to start with a Young because I have a horrible trend of never getting any 9+ masks in my opening hand. If you can manage to get a Mature into play turn 1, it is an excellent target to Brood Mother and transpose turn 2; especially if you know you can trigger Rip in Half. Sticking a Mature Nephilim with Fast and Flurry (from Black Blood Shaman) on Ophelia or Som'er will have your opponent chewing through Soul Stones like candy.
9. Transposition is more than just a tool to get yourself into position. It can also be used for strategy denial. There is a reason I always bring out Lilith if my opponents get Treasure Hunt as a strategy. Once one of their models pick up the Treasure, you can transpose it with one of you own models. Said model is now conveniently standing over a dropped Treasure marker that can be picked up.

11. Wait, how can she offload the Wd from Emotional Trauma? That's not part of the effect of the attack, it's a byproduct of failing the Resist (Wp) Duel and not an attack at all according to the definition of an attack.
12. This is why he can be good with Pandora. With The Box Opens stripping away immunities to Wp Duels, nothing living within 12" of her can avoid Coppelius' Morale Duels. It will depend on the Meta, really; where I play, I am more likely to go against living models than not.
13. I'd get one Blister of Alps. While you'll never actual hire them directly, you're getting Coppelius and he can summon them with Eyeballs. More activations are never a bad thing. I also like Coppelius for many of the reasons above. Plus, hitting a Mental Anguish trigger on someone while they are in range of Copellius' Night Stalker aura is nasty.
14. The first Timing rule states that each sentence must be resolved completely before moving to the next. The second indicates that when an effect triggers another, you pause the effect, resolve the triggered effect and then continue resolving the previous effect. Here is the scenario which is confusing me: Kirai, who has used Seishin Beacon during this turn's activation, has 2 Seishin's in base contact with her. It is Pandora's activation, she has successfully pacified both Seishins leaving them with one wound each. She then casts Project Emotions on one of the Seishins. The first step is to place the Blast Marker in base contact with the Seishin. The Blast Marker is placed in such as way that Kirai and the other Seishin are under the Blast Marker and that anything which would be placed in base contact with Kirai would also be touched by it. This is easily doable since Kirai and Seisin's are small bases. The second step is to resolve the part of the spell that causes everyone touched to take resist duels; and this is where I get unsure. I understand that Kirai's controller decides the order in which she does the duels. Let's say this happens: Kirai goes first and fails, she loses a Wd because of Emotional Trauma and now has been successfully attacked. Seishin A loses his Resist Duel and takes a Wd from Emotional Trauma. Kirai decides to take a Wd to ignore Fragile Connection and summons Seishin C in base contact with herself. This new Seishin is under the Blast Marker. Seisin B loses and is sacrified because of Fragile Connection. Question 1. Is Point 1 where Kirai decides to offload the eventual (since we're not at that point in the spell resolution yet) affect to a Seishin? If so, let say she chooses Seishin A. Question 2. Does Seishin C now have to take a Resist Duel since he is touched by the Blast Marker and we're still in the part of Project Emotion that makes models take Resist Duels if they are touched by it? Once all the Resist Duels are done, we now get to the part that actually places an affect on the models that lost their duels. Question(s) 3+. Kirai picked Seishin A to get affected instead of her, what happens? Given that the Spirit Sheath ability is on the Seishin, one would assume the effect allowing Kirai to redirect the attack affects expired with it when it died? Would Kirai now have to suffer the effects of Project Emotions (like being tagged with Pity)? I realize I may be overthinking things here, but I'm honestly curious about it as this places the onus on the Kirai player to carefully choose what order Resist Duels are performed.
15. Against Som'er, I once copied Reckless and Take a Swig to make 3 healing flips on Pandora after she took damage from Mosquitoes and Stuffed Piglets. It's not a combo per say, but sometimes your opponent has better stuff worth copying.
16. Thanks for the suggestions. I guess I'm going to order myself another SS Miner and give it a shot. On another note, I managed to get the Desolation out in the first game that I lost, his Def 2 meant that Ophelia went to town on him on the following turn. That put me in an 18SS hole which I never managed to make up. Granted, I'm cognizant that I summoned him in a bad spot to begin with. Ryle seems like he would be good, although I couldn't take him with SS Miners, but keeping him alive seems problematic.
17. Well, we've been playing that one completely wrong. Might explain why I had so many problems with Gremlins. We play on a a Terraclip street map that has a bunch of those little 1" walls that go up past the flat elevation.
___G| | ____|_ _1_2
Assuming that all | and _ are 1". Would a Ht2 model need to be placed in position 1 or 2 to shoot at the Gremlin (defined by G)? Does the little extra lip count towards the shadow or not? Or can I not see the Gremlin at all if I'm on the lower ground?
18. My last two games with Leveticus were against Gremlins (Som'er+Ophelia and Ophelia) and I lost both, the one against Som'er was a 6-2 loss while the one vs Ophelia was 7-6. Both games involved the Slaughter strategy (first game I had it, second game my opponent had it) and it seems like it is a huge handicap due to the sheer quantity of Gremlins you have to kill to make up for the loss of a single guy (not even counting getting completely outactivated / "outactioned"). What would be the prefered crew to field against them in a Slaughter? A bunch of low-point models while keeping Leveticus on 8 SS?
19. The only reason my Malifaux models have bases on them is because of the inserts. They are, in fact, the only models I own which are based (other than those that come with scenic bases already). I despise basing models so these have been great.

Coppelius?

I use him a lot with Pandora. Her ability to strip away immunity to Morale Duels makes his Deeply Disturbing ability a lot more relevant and his Night Stalker ability can make a well timed Mental Anguish trigger by Pandora even more devastating.
21. I'm fairly new to Leveticus and I find that I mostly struggle with the objective-grabbing aspect of the game with him. I haven't played him with a wide variety of models yet, mostly just his starter box + Ashes and Dust. I'm trying to figure out good, fairly all encompassing, Undead and Construct based lists for essentially each type of scenario and it's incredibly daunting given the possibilities. Does anyone have any preferred lists for certain type of encounters they could share?
22. Thanks for this post. The Dreamer was the second master I bought after Pandora and I just didn't understand how to play him (that and no Daydreams). This gave me a great insight on what makes him so nasty.
23. It was not done by malice or on purpose it was actually a misinterpretation of a parenthese on the text that says how to work out Final Totals. We were playing it correctly until someone noticed that part (which is entirely unnecessary considering how Twisting Fate is explained on Page 25 anyway). As far as everyone in our group arguing with you, I don't know who that would be as I haven't seen you at the store on wargaming night in over 3 months.
24. This question was brought up during my game last night. Since it was the first time I played Hamelin, I was not sure what the answer is. There is no entry for Malifaux Rats on Pull My Finger and we couldn't find the answer quickly in the rules manual. If (0) Impetuous is used and followed by a Strike that hits, does the Damage Flip count as part of the action or not? If I could get a relevant page number in the rules manual, that would be great as I'd like to explain the answer to our group.
