  1. the lightbulb is a 3mm LED (there is a picture in WIP gallery where you can see it before painting)...
  2. excellent! I love it. Nathan, however... good luck with him judging your entry
  3. thanks guys @S.E.G. it was a laser printer at work (don't tell anyone), but it was re-done with some washes and glazes and a couple of highlights (of sorts) to remove the dots the printer left...
  4. I like it, and I'm glad you didn't put ELIM in your tag. good luck and may the better piece go through!
  5. I think the theme is quite self explanatory... When the theme was announced I started thinking, who would "we" be? judges? characters in the diorama? everyone watching the diorama? so I decided to go with all of them/us. I truly think this WOULD be the end of the world as we (all) know it... (and I hope it never happens )
  6. love the explosions! but the best part is the "still" green grass the kids are standing on... the dynamics of the whole diorama seems to suggest it might not be so green much longer. great job!

the office is almost done. need to do a chair and a couple of books. and a table lamp, I guess... oh, yes, and the walls
  9. first off, your plans look cool and I'm looking forward to seeing more! I see you have tabs to "lock" the modules in place. If I can suggest, use magnets - easier and much less likely to break if handled roughly: this is the idea: LEFT and RIGHT - Two poles of the magnets... just an idea (hope you don't mind)
  10. only half answered it is not plaster, it is just HD styrofoam cut to size and "design" and afterwards covered with PVA mixed with sand (smallest size possible) for texture...
  11. Is what plaster? Hillside doesnt have any plaster as it would be far to heavy... The modular gaming board has a lot of plaster (almost all the walls - stone and brick, and stone cobbles on the floor)
  12. whiskey, dragon, cute critter... all ingredients of a great entry! and painted superbly!
  13. Figure Painter Magazine #24 is now out http://www.figurepaintermagazine.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=76 We have a great issue for you with something for everyone. Barry Ford returns to our pages with a fantastic tutorial on how he painted his James Bond garage kit (and quite a nice cheesecake recipe ). Regular contributors Marko Paunovic, continues his Malifaux, gaming table Odyssey; Marta Ślusarska explains how she created a base for her Demonic Puppy (don’t ask!) and Luke Wilson show us how he painted his award winning bust, Wasteland Warrior! We also have a pretty cool explanation from Javier Molina on how he created his Guther 1947 diorama and Jason Martin also continues his series about Exploiting light and colour. We also have reviews from Scale75, Figopedia, Galapagos Miniatures, Gamers Grass and Dark World Creations. Martyn Dorey explains all about the Mr. Surfacer range of products and we also have a closer look at a Rototool. We kick the this issue off be a very cool insight interview from one of Europe's best painters and one of my personal favourites, Anna Machowska. beside the above mentioned there is the second part of the whole range of Designed for Malifaux by Plastcraft Games (see it all painted and read some impressions of players who played on the tabel), also a review of the whole range of 6mm tufts by Gamer's Grass as well as another article on the build of the Malifaux modular gaming table. Also, the announcement of Agram Arena Summer 2015 gaming convention that will feature a Wyrd sponsored two-day Malifaux tournament (that is completely free for all the contestants!) Also, if you want to order all (or some) of the back issues, there is now a second year bundle available at the price of 10GBP (issues 13-24) as well as a lower price of 8GBP on bundle 1 (issues 1-12).
  14. thanks guys... as for the size of the pic, the original I uploaded was 1000x2667 big. and for some reason it is only 450x1200 here in the gallery... which is kinda pitty
  15. another module with finished painting... and a small detail (and yes, the walls of the mine are full of soul stones that actually glow)
  16. thanks and sure.. (won't be before the deadline though as I won't be home tomorrow... and it's already 2AM here)
  17. My Fool's Gold entry for the first round of Iron Painter 2015. For some reason the Gallery resized the pic to 450x1200, so here's the link to the full pic I uploaded: http://img.photobuck...ld.jpg~original
