  1. Payment sent - not sure on faction depends on what gets painted
  2. Very interested in this - will look into sorting a pass.
  3. Just wanted to echo what I said on the day David, great event thank you for a awesome day. Ben - cheers for getting the meal together. Thanks to all of my oponenets - Tim, Craig, Cononr and Connor. 4 great and really fun games.
  4. Just following up from twitter please put me down for the meal as well
  5. Signed up - can bring at least one table with mat. Likely to be running ressers due to painting requirements but I'll see what I can get done by the end of the week!
  6. Just wanted to say thanks for a great day and to my opponents for putting up with my very addled brain. Can't wait to play again soon.
  7. Shhh keep it quiet I'm struggling to get a pass and I want to come...
  8. Great topic - thanks for starting it. The point of the 10T "not so" shifting loyalties story (because very little happened in the individual faction stories and Lucius only proved what we all know about him all along) was to provide a reason that Mei might be questioning if the means justify the ends. At least that's what I took away from it. To the other points - the handling of the boxer rebellion was poorly done if its meant to follow earth history but I think Wyrd can always play the "alternative timeline/earth" card as a get out of jail free. As to good vs evil - no one faction is really good or bad, that's kind of the idea of Malifaux. Ressers as an example are for the most part REALLY bad (Seamus etc) but they also have some of the most heroic masters in the game - Molly and Kirai. The same argument can be made about some 10T masters.
  9. It will be awesome to add some international flair to the event - let us know if you need to borrow any models.
  10. How many countries do we need signed up before we can change the name to European GT?
  11. Wonderful day, great venue, thanks to David for running an (as always) spot on event. Thanks to all 3 of my opponents (Maria, Matt and Philip) all of which where great to play against and gave me a different challenge during the game. Also great to see everyone from Warzones Wounded (based on drop outs and injuries), Squigs, Harrogate, Black Jokers and all of the rest (in case I've missed someone out!). Also great to see the Wintons stop in! What a lovely bunch you all are!
  12. From a theme perspective would you consider swapping the Katanaka Sniper for a 10 Thunders Archer?
  13. Will defiantly look into this one! Quiet close to the next Northampton event so I don't know if my good will will stretch to that many passes
  14. Happy to do this Dave. Will be running 10 Thunders if I play
  15. Awesome, reminds me of Lilith! Is it due to be the same scale as Malifaux?
  16. So a Malifaux one could be Was your opponent prompt to report for the start of the round? Yes/No Did your opponent share their crew list with you before the game? Yes/No Did your opponent come prepared to play and bring all required items to play (dice, templates, rulers, rulebooks, codices, pens, calculators, etc.) Yes/No Was your opponent consistent about game procedures, such as tracking conditions and wounds? Yes/No Could you clearly see your opponents fate deck during duels and clearly follow the duel procedures (declaring soul stones, totals and triggers etc.)? Yes/No Did your opponent appear to measure movement and assault distances accurately? Yes/No Did your opponent put forward a good faith effort to play at a timely pace and complete the game in the allotted time? Yes/No (2 points) Were rules issues that may have arisen during the game handled amicably by your opponent (if none please tick Yes)? Yes/No Was your opponent's crew easy to understand on the table? (e.g. where proxies easy to identify and are models painted)? Yes/No Do you think your opponent built an army based on the theme of the relevant gaming universe and supplied background for that army (as opposed to a force built purely for winning with little or no regard to that crews established background)? Yes/No
  17. But seriously, a few thoughts. I agree, a positive input into Sports is well worth it. But with that said it can be highly subjective. For example some players love running certain masters, however other members of the community HATE seeing them across the table from them - such as masters the rhyme with Dora the Explorer. This has gone to the extent that I know 2 players (I hope they won't mind me saying this) that would rather concede than play against that master. I still have flashbacks to 1.5 when I see Dreamer or Colette I have to resist walking round and slapping my opponent. But that's a personal view, is it right to dock my opponents points on the crew/master choice despite the player being a pleasure to play? Equally another TO pointed on that sports can easily be influenced to being a bit of a popularity contest. The more well known community members (pod-casters, TO's and twitter addicts), are well more known and by and large liked by the community (naturally). This can the feeling of a less inclusive community due to large personalties that dominate it. (omg is that Joel Henery!!! ;-) ) But overall I think its great to encourage sports, I always thought that it was great in other systems that your total result was a combo of your sports, painting and game playing ability. Even a simple step to adding in more of a focus on sport in the tournament pack would be cool (and to be fair has happened over the last year or so). Its great to have a discussion about it, thanks for all to opening it up.
  18. Damm he got here 1st. I wanted to post about 9 belles
  19. Northampton is not to far for a taxi ride if you are sharing. Some of the locals might be able to help as well. For those flying you might want to look into Birmingham and East Midlands Airports as well (its about the same distance as London and might be cheaper).
