Hannah can do well in a Viks crew. Having her cast sisters in fury can be entertaining. I find myself favoring Vanessa over her though. As far sas upgrades go, Vik of Blood always Mark of Shezuul, and occasionally Oathkeeper. Vik of Ash gets Sisters in Spirit, Sisters in Fury, with the third being somewhat variable. Survivalist is a popular third choice.

Those bases are made by secret weapon. I believe they're the trench bases. I use the same ones and they are quite nice.

More specifically, they do not because the negative modifier to damage is a benefit gained from hard cover. If you ignore cover you do not suffer the negatives to either the attack or damage flips.

I agree. It is the only situation in the rm I could find where a model can ignore any aspect of a terrain piece by being in a certain position, though. Other than elevations.

The only thing like that I know of is terrain with the dense trait. "Models may ignore the dense trait of the terrain they are within, when drawing LOS." RM Pg 73

Winter has finally come and it is time to gather and offer up gifts to appease our less than benevolent overlord, December! This will be a gift exchange event. In order to participate, bring a gift wrapped sealed Malifaux box set of Minions or an Enforcer. Though you can bring more if you want, this is the minimum. After all the gifts are in, there will be a 25 SS fixed list tournament to determine the order that gifts are chosen and exchanged. Everyone who participates gets a gift to take home. Hardcore if I recall correctly is basically a format consisting of 25 ss crews, exactly 4 models, no summoning, strategy for all rounds is turf war with assassinate as the only available scheme. Also very short rounds.

This will be a fixed master event with three story encounters. Gauntlet Games 3231 S 13th, Lincoln, Ne, 68521 The doors open at 11 AM and the first game will begin at noon. Wave 2 models are allowed, but no Avatars. All models must be painted and based. Proxies for unreleased models are allowed, but are subject to the TO's discretion. $10 Entry fee to go toward prize support.

I actually used ones that fit inside the base. I find it more aesthetically pleasing and gives more surface area to attach to.

I used washers to weight mine down, so I can promise you they make them in the proper size for that. I did completely flatten the underside of the base to make more surface area for it to stick to. Completely fixed the death marshal tipping problem.

I know it's already been asked, but I didn't see an answer anywhere. It is possible to get updated Santana/Miss Terious cards for those of us who already own the models and don't otherwise want to get new ones?

Events can pretty much be whatever you want to run. Tournaments and leagues are a fairly a common thing to run, but you can put whatever creative spin on it that you'd like. As far as the t shirts go, you'd best like black. If you don't, well...

The 1.5 book is the most current book as far as the basic rules go. It also has some of Malifaux's background story in it and the rules for the modles that were released for book 1. If you don't care about the background you could also get the Rules Manual, which is just the rules, but there is some errata to download with it. You can also download the Rules Manual for free, but the artwork is largely blocked out. http://www.malifaux.com/Rules.php As far as the Viktorias go, they're a solid starting master in my opinion. If you'd like to expand the set, I recommend a pack of Ronin and Vanessa when she come out. Von Schill and the Friekorps are also solid additions. Don't forget a fate deck. You may also want to download or buy the V2 cards for the sets you have. Since book one most of the book one models have gotten updates to their cards. Most of the updates aren't too major, but it could cause some confusion. You can check your cards for a little V2 in the bottom right corner and you can download them from the link Sarsnick gave above.

I believe it matters with Ronin as well. Not that I've ever actually seen anyone summon one...

The Harmless rule states that models with Terrifying and Ruthless ignore harmless. Pg 116 in the RM. Edit: Misread the last few sentences in your post. I agree that the terrifying entry could be more clear about ignoring harmless.
