  1. Alt sculpts for the Gremlins you use lots off would be good & not cause rules bloat I dont like the idea of using three of the same pose in a small scale skirmish like Malifaux & whilst I can & have converted stuff I am no where near as good at it as I would like, or to do justice to the figure.
  2. I like the idea as I am for any thing which encourages people not to go for the Cheese lists regardless of all the lovely background & story which has gone into the game.
  3. I like the Avatar of Sonnia & mine is nearly done what is stopping me is where to put the Sonnia figure on it as the way its shown on the box would knowing the reprobates I game with cause many may LOLS to put it mildly.....
  4. ok the friecorps Librarian is on my list for use in a Viktorias crew then
  5. The moral of this is dont use spray varnish - evil stuff as you found out to your cost
  6. ah now I see I have seen the "special nurse" & really didn't like it probably due my not finding nursing uniforms in any way sexy
  7. I thought the Totems where unique so you couldn't hire two of the same type?
  8. Interesting though I have to admit I make most of my own counters for malifaux or use Tidly winks for tokens
  9. Or even Burton if you fancy a trip out
  10. Very interesting as I am about to start a Victoria's crew & have the box set a pack of Ronin, Sue & a desperate mercenary to hand. I did not realize there was a female convict gun slinger figure as the only one I have seen was the male one which I am not sure I like.
  11. I dont yet use a magnifier & given my advanced age I perhaps should but good artificial lighting has become a must.
  12. After 30+ years painting I would recommend a good Sable brush maker is largely irrelevant as if you are using acrylics you will kill them quite quickly & even brush cleaner will only extend this a bit, so spending £8 on a brush I would spend £3-4 on is a waste of cash. Fine nylon brushes also have there uses especially if you are using artists ink for lining etc but they wont take the abuse levels of say lots of dry brushing a sable or even a squirrel hair one will. As an all rounder size I use size 0-2 mostly with a good point & a 5/0 for fine lining with ink and some detail on a 6mm figures. I use brushes which have lost the ability to hold a point for general dry brushing & applying white glue to bases. Small area dry brushing I use my normal brushes & hope they recover. I have a couple of 3/0 nylon brushes I use for artists inks. as well as a selection of size 6+ squirrel hair brushes I use for priming, & varnishing.
  13. very nice jobs on all of them I would consider expanding all of them to be honest & lots & lots of rats - our Hamlin player has about twenty & that's not enough
  14. Welcome to the forum, where are you based as I am on the look out for more opponents and would offer an open invite to the Malifaux nights at Spirtigames
  15. I hope so but he is I think a book two master so perhaps it may have to wait till book 4
  16. Rezers "Spam" quite a bit I find other than that even with my liking big crews I dont see the need for more than two of any given model. On the subject of Rezer spamming could we have a couple of alt packs for mindless zombies as three variants are not really enough if as an opponent of mine regularly does, you have 24+on the table. I belive he owns thirty off them.
  17. Its interesting to note as first read I thought this was some one playing Malifaux with puppet wars miniatures rather than very small Soul stone number crews.
  18. I know Taylor is nastier I also have her having got the mercenaries box as a third crew from Spirit the other day with some random merc figures - Sue & a pack of Ronin I already have a desperate mercenary as I like the figure & it was cheep Soulstone wise if you need an extra generalist model.
  19. not got mine yet so I cant comment & didn't see much on the clip to be honest
  20. Sam being blown up by a Wychling stalker is the best I can manage I was covering a flank with a skirmish line of stalkers backed up buy Sams traps when a nearby got Wychling charged by and shredded by canine remains & I forgot the resultant blast was 2" from the base edge.& that Sam had been shot a bit earlier.
  21. welcome on board & dont feel bad about painting the same figure hundreds of times its what most historical wargames do  but then I am one however they dont become obsolete 3 months later cos marketing has commanded the rules be changed to sell different figures. Warmachine is fun & Malifaux is quite as much fun just much more personal since you cant afford to lose models that often. Unless you are a rezer in which case all beta are off
  22. That what I thought & most Stat cards only list blast effects for moderate or severe damage. I am a bit concerned as one of my opponents now has two of the things allegedly & blasts are only fun if you are not on the receiving end of them.
  23. Yet to give him a try out, I have the mercenaries box but its still in undercoat, but I suspect his usefulness would be a lot greater in close terrain the Teraclips inside buildings or sewers for example & would suggest he would also work to bodyguard another figure since he is primevally a close combatant I belive.
  24. I really should find out how to edit posts as I always forget something A ready suply of basses is very convenient for making markers
