A lotta little details do show up, but the models themselves (rightfully so) are pretty soft. The best example of hard, crisp edges, would be the emberling. The railcrew models feel very organic. All of them are pretty much humanoid, but the more synthetic bits, like the extra arms and bits for the workers, are fairly well detailed. One thing I noticed is some of the detail will EASILY disappear with a coat of paint, though. The detail, in some cases, is so extremely fine, like in Mei's hair, that it is hardly visible. I think this comes from the move from slightly cartoony, and buldgy sculpting, to more darker, serious computer design, however.
There is a TON of detail, but don't expect it to have the same "rough" texture that the metal seems to get. Smooth spots are very smooth, and the rail crew models themselves are fairly organic.
Another small gripe is the placement of the sprue, in some cases, it kinda has a chance to ruin detail. I understand though, since it was either designed by Wyrd, who are new to plastics and, or designed by some engineer looking to get the most efficient flow for the plastic, etc.
Edit: Another thing I noticed- Mei's armpit/side sorta blends into her tank top. It's a little hard to discern where the shirt begins and flesh ends. This is only on her left side.
For the few negatives, I still think these are great models, and with a little time, Wyrd could easily be putting out stuff of higher quality than that other workshop for games out there.
