  1. my latest tweet: ThisIsTheTaleOfZoraida'sPuppets StuffingSoBraveOnTheKitchenTable OnAMysticalQuestForTheMagicSewingNeedle When #puppetwars ComeWhatLiesInStore? The lack of spaces was required to fit the 140 character limit Sing along to the tune of Michael Bolton's big sexy hook in Lonely Island's "Jack Sparrow" for full effect My handle is CannotCope if it doesn't come up on your search
  2. Amazingly arrogant post for only 21 games played with Hamelin, and only a ~good~ but far from perfect win-loss-draw record. You can't have even played against every master/henchman with Hamelin in only 21 games, given the 20 masters and 6 henchmen in the game currently. (you did say to go ahead and try to discredit you Otherwise thanks for the post. Could use some reformatting/rewording to make a decent tactica. I'll certainly keep your thoughts in mind when facing the local Hamelin player (or when picking up Hamelin myself).
  3. I agree. Not being able to interact with a model is pretty unfun. I'm not experienced enough to make statements about being broken or what would make for a more balanced game, but on the fun side of things, it would be more fun to be able to interact with Hamelin, by changing Bully.
  4. In battle reports I've read, characters tend to get knocked out, flash away to safety, etc... When writing a narrative type battlereport you really need to take liberties with things.
  5. edonil wanted the actual math: 1 Silent One uses North Wind with Rasputina in range of the effect. Rasputina gains +3" of range on Decembers curse (13") then also gains +3" range on Ice Mirror (9") 13" + 9" = 22" You also gain the base size of the model, as you don't have to be completely within range for Ice Mirrors, iirc, so really it's more like 23"-24" range, but at the same time, there is no CTRL range measuring in this game (unlike WarmaHordes) so it's rather difficult to get the full range on this combo. You only need 1 Silent One, but you would benefit from having a second Silent One to Ice Mirror through, as a normal Ice Mirror target gives Rasputina a health -Ca penalty... Rasputina needs to be within range of the Northwind. Anything I missed?
  6. I'm not certain that they sell Malifaux, but my first starting point would be in the Nihonbashi area of Osaka. Ebisucho (恵美須町駅) station was the subway station I usually got off at when I wanted to cruise that area, but you can also get off at Nihonbashi station and walk between the two stations. There are several Yellow Submarine stores in the area, as well as many other hobby/gaming/manga/anime places. I know Yellow Submarine carried some Games Workshop stuff when I was there (back in '03-'04) so they would be my best guess for other gaming supplies.
  7. heh, and every so often I've thought about getting into Kirai... It's a teruterubozu-seishin. (somewhat disturbed since I do use teruterubozu as my screen name on other sites. How does Eric know...?)
  8. I remember back when you could get personal responses from Jervis Johnson (GW for those too young to remember) on the old Newsgroups. It's nice to see companies with that personal touch, and I enjoy these forums for that reason.
  9. Son, Remember Always When Terrible Eric Placed People Under Puppetmasters! #puppetwars
  10. I traded mine for a pack of Slop Haulers. Seemed like a pretty good deal for something that was basically free
  11. 7) How much will dgraz have to sell one kidney for in order to purchase the entire first wave of releases at retail?
  12. Hah, the executioner puppet is adorable
  13. I've managed to flip it for damage for Rasputina (December's Curse, of course) on consecutive turns, in multiple games (and I haven't even played that much yet). I know it's probably not statistically worthwhile to hold it, but as a statistical anomaly, I'll take the insurance of holding until my deck likes me better.
  14. Cool, maybe I can get my daughter to play...
  15. It's not really punishment when people think it's cool.
  16. Ah, but I love those songs Should also add in my favorite archery song: Hoot [ame] [/ame] And some leg twisting for added fun [ame] [/ame]
  17. England expects every man to do his duty, or some such? Wait wait... (heh, and I was just guessing) I suppose "puppet" would have been a bit of a hard spell in Popham's "Telegraphic Signals of Marine Vocabulary". ;-)
  18. Some other movies I enjoyed: Maundy Thursday (우리들의 행복한 시간) by director Hae-sung Song http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0870967/ Was a touching movie that made me question certain beliefs of mine. Shiri (쉬리) by director Je-gyu Kang http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0192657/ Is an oldie but great movie for people who love lots and lots of gunfire with zero accuracy The Foul King (반칙왕) by director Jee-woon Kim http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0261552/ Is a comical take on professional wrestling in Korea. My Sassy Girl (엽기적인 그녀) by director Jae-young Kwak http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0293715/ A bit crazy but terribly funny for it. Speedy Scandal (과속스캔들) by director Hyeong-cheol Kang http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1360795/ Probably my favorite of the bunch.
  19. In, as CannotCope. #puppetwars, making Chuckie look cute and cuddly since 2011. or My Toy Box got invaded by Neverborn Puppets and all I got was this lousy twitter account! Need followers, cannot cope… #puppetwars
  20. So, dumb question time. I know the purpose is to get the word about Puppet Wars out, but for us poor backwater stoneage hermit types with brand new twitter accounts and no followers, will we still have a chance at the prize?
  21. I was a little underwhelmed with Red Cliff. it was great, but I was (I guess) hoping for something more along the lines of an epic 24+ hour movie. Oh well... I still enjoyed the movie. Hmmm, consider watching "Mother" by director Joon-Ho Bong http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1216496/ I was disturbed ever so slightly... The King and the <someone has issues > (Wang ui Namja) by director Jun-ik Lee is a fun historical movie and one of my favorites. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0492835/
  22. I was mostly joking. I still read, thought mostly rereading old books I really liked. We go hiking together on occasion, but our daughter has been really busy with school recently, so not as much free time for that (the drive to the nearest decent hike takes longer than the hike itself... We all Wii together. I seriously suck at dancing, but it makes them laugh.
