  2. Howdy Greg! Will add you onto the list now and will make sure you get added onto the lunch list too
  3. Three Roosters with Zoraida (or maybe Mah too?) is a really reliable way to get an early lead in Stake a Claim.
  4. Cool! Let me know who you are on the list and what your lunch option should be.
  5. Daily reminder that the Noxious Smoke markers count as impassible terrain for Mancha to Rebound off.
  6. Simple. They ain't beasts. They's logs.
  7. I think he is a really good beater in a Somer list due to the Conflux upgrade he gets. That, with some general Somer summoning makes for a pretty decent Guard the Stash/Turf War build.
  8. A reminder to folks to let me know their lunch options please!
  9. I adore using the Skeeters in Interference. They are pretty quick and very good at locking down models in a quarter for at least a turn.
  10. We can still vote to see the Gremlin next week right?
  11. But just to clarify, Wales isn't a country right?
  12. Keep an eye on my Twitter page! The trophies are all done, so I'll be spoiling them over the next few days.
  13. Simple. Every time I think of playing Lucius, I look at his card and cry.
  14. Just adding on to what Math and Clement said (kids got here and took most of my points), but Gremlins have a very strong suite of combat options across different point values in the faction. Mah can support them all really well and (this goes for both her and our beat sticks) on occasion, knock them up to Ml7. This is crucial in Gremlins as we have so much at Ml6 and we all know how good going from Ml6 to Ml7 is.
  15. Let me tell you friend. I have many a problem but I don't think Gremlin Zoraida is it! Flinging Obey's around in a faction that is already very AP efficient is worth the price of entry alone. Hence why I like her in scenarios such as Headhunter or Squatters, where AP is at even more of a premium than normal. She isn't flashy but she gets the job done. Carrying on with that trail of thought, I find she is very good at denying schemes to people. Those based on killing the Leader can be hard against her, since she can be pretty quick and tends to hang back. Taking her with Animal Shape (my preferred out of the two limiteds) basically guarantees Entourage. As for the Doll and Bewitch, I guess I've never had a situation where those have been better options than just getting a good Gremlin to do another good thing. Gremlins don't struggle at killing things and going the roundabout way to do that via Doll (to me, at least) seems like a chucking away a good chunk of one turn for Zoraida. As for Bewitch ... well, I just have bad luck drawing cards! kek When it comes to out of faction hires, I only really rate PaPa because taking him and Pere seems alright. Nurses I find tend to get left behind the rest of the far quicker crew. The Neverborn Swampfiends tend to have better options in Gremlins (there was a time when Sillurids in Gremlins was in vogue, I'll never understand why) or not worth it altogether (JuJu). A case could be made for Waldgeists, but I don't seem myself using anything else on the upgrade. If you're looking to play her in faction, I'd just search for a spare blister of her from V1. Zoraida is an interesting case in Gremlins. A lot of our Masters do pretty flashy things, where as Zoraida is less flash and more efficient. She (quite rightly) feels different. I think she has a place, but she is at her best when considered alongside other Masters and taking them as a group. Playing mono Master (unless for fun sakes) is a folly in a game designed around faction play.
  16. Having been a long time player of Gremlin Zoraida, Guy in Suit is right. She's not awful but honestly, she doesn't do much beyond flinging Obey's around. She seems less like a Master and more like a tooled up Henchman. Also, totally right on her and the end game amount of VPs. I find she draws really, really well and denies schemes but struggles to push for them. On the other side, I think she is utterly golden in Stake a Claim. With three Roosters, she can park three markers down Turn One. I don't touch Ulix for the simple matter of space! Everything in his crew is huge and I have only so much room. The other five Masters I play tend to have the stats well covered between them though.
  17. Would love to see you down, Conor! Cheers Huw!
  18. Righto, other projects are done so going to ramp up activity on this again. Will get an updated entrants list for this later this week. Remember, lunch options on this thread please guys!
  19. I think Rami has definitely had a boost in the new scheme pool. With Hunting Party, he is a good call for a cost effective Enforcer who can grab points from across the board. Yo, Omenbringer - what about V1 Somer was considered OP? I've had more people moan about the V2 flavour, myself.
  20. Coming to this now but I need me a partner! Might be going with young Luke.
  21. Alright, so I had a game yesterday where Merris was targeted by an attack that dealt blasts. She doesn't prevent the blasts from being dropped, rather just makes minis immune to damage from them. The blasts go down, Merris is killed - but is the damage from the blasts applied then? We played it as the other models taking damage, but looking back on it perhaps we did it wrong? This is because damage is applied prior to the removal of models.
