  1. I think Distract is fairly clear but for some reason the wording on Shared Distract is just throwing me. Is it "any" player's leader in any deployment zone? Or as long as any opponent doesn't have a leader in my deployment zone...? Thanks!
  2. I would love to see more scenarios that fall between "non-interactive" and Kill'em ALL! If you flip through the book most of the scenarios award points at the end of the game and it's darn easy to just turn all those scenarios into Slaughter. I also pile onto the "tweak the Bury mechanic". Other than that- pretty happy with the mechanics and fluff and power level of the game!
  3. Oh? Auto include? Have to admit I've looked at them and confused on their use. And Rare? Where people abusing something in playtesting?
  4. I've got a few of the acrylic ones and it's super easy to just use a dry-erase marker to write in what you want... But the pre-printed wood ones do look awesome!

  7. I'm assuming it does but does HTW act normally vs this spell as it does with other damage sources? Not sure why I'm even wondering but I thought I'd check in any case. Kinda hurts Colette vs Ressers...

  9. Bill- one thing that might be really helpful is the thought process of looking at the scenario and how that tweaks what crew you'd take. People will talk a lot about how "this master is good for that scheme" and I think some discussion around that thought process would be really helpful. Both to get some insights into how you think about AND reinforce that the crew creation can/should change based on the flipped scenario? Just some things I'd just like to hear more about. Love the podcast- keep up the good work! Rand
  10. One thing I'll just point out- in most of the tacticas- Nix's and Karn's specifically, the way they suggest battling the crew is go after the Daydreams. To me that suggests they might be the OP part of the chain..? Just wanted to point that out conceptually. Back to lurk mode....
  11. Of all the "custom" bases they're pretty easy to make. Just take a bunch of bamboo skewers from the grocery store and use a nickel as the outline. Glue a bunch together and trim to fit. Super easy. I've turned out a ton of them pretty quick and they look really good with just a brown ink wash on them.

  14. I've had really good luck with these guys: http://happyseppukumodelworks.bigcartel.com/ It's basically a slab of rubber with a pattern on it. You mash some putty (any kind) into a base and then press the base down onto the slab. Presto! Really easy to do and you churn out tons of bases really fast.

  17. Well the Convict 'Slingers owner is bald so I wanted to get rid of his stupid 'parakeet" hair. I think Kerry did a great job on all these pieces!
  18. Seconded- would love to hear more about this. Virtually EVERY crew list for Colette I've seen is the 3 C's (Coryphee, Cassie, Colette) and the birds with Performers and Mannies to taste. And at 35 SS to boot. Now I have all of that so it's not that big a problem. My point is it seems to be a pretty static list despite the actual Scenario and / or Scheme... Thoughts?

  21. Oh it was fun because it was the first time for the other guy playing the crew and he was shocked at how well they did. And yeah- the magical weapons didn't help. Seriously though- his deck was HOT. We were doing distroy the evidence and luring him forward basically helped him out more than messed him up. Plus no ranged at all meant him advancing with no damage at all on the way in. Even did 2 "drain your hand" strikes with Seamus and that didn't phase them ether. Bad luck for sure.
  22. Oh it was fun- no doubt. He must have always had a crappy hand because there was some HOT flipping going on. I had the Gunslinger card in my hand and put it back before the game started. Won't make that mistake again.
  23. Well I took the Hanged/Grave Spirit combo last night with Seamus. 1 Ronin and Viktoria basically killed them all and 1 Belle. Undead psychosis on 1 Vik? Bring in the other one? Hand cannon shot on the Ronin? Oh you have slow to die? <sigh> Magic weapon on the Vik? Why not? Even with the -2 bubble up the Ronin still passed Terror checks from the Hanged and Seamus without breaking a sweat. Did all the tricks and they all really didn't matter. I've had similar "luck" with this combo before. Consider them shelved for the time being.
