    OK, i think she is something i will try some time but i don't see her becoming a staple for me, lucias and most of his favoured models are already very utility based (i like beckoners and a black blood shamy for my illuminated, in the guild arcanist discussion, i do find it easier to close on guild as there move tricks are ok but few and are often 1 model moving another wear as arcanists have a lot of move tricks all in built, like beasts and corphry, and the ones that dont can often shoot.
  2. It just feals boring and cheaty to me, now that is probably just me but the amount of issues made by summoning master and the amount of forum posts about how some one cant get past a summoner it just feels underhanded
  3. I'm surprised by the lack of people saying they like raw damage, I tend to use my crew for damage, but the number of damage masters is verry high compared to what people are saying. I played magic and fined It a realy good thing to use as a comparison, really helps new players I have to ask, what do people like about summoning, I don't see it as fun my self, I don't minde levi/hamlin summoning that just happens, but not dedicated summoners
  4. i agree with the suites thing spiraling, im not keen on things like misaki and lcb who are possibly amazing but very suite reliant laika, you seem to have a very similar out look to me but with a much more gremliny bend on it specter, i don't like hyper competitive for 2 reasons, 1 they are taken more often and i hate mirror matches or seeign soem one els play my favorit master. 2 is that if i win on a week master then i feel great and if i lose then oh well i tried, if i win on an op master i dont feel happy about it and if i lose i feel week and silly but this diversity is what makes the game good and keeps it intresting
  5. I'm not asking who I should play, I'm fine with who I like I'm asking what is it about masters that you look for, I'm just interested to se what appeals to people

I like alot of master and I'm talking about alot of them, but there is no faction that I like all of its masters, this is a little annoying as I don't feel tied to any faction, but that's also a good thing. This got me thinking about what I look for in a master and interested in what others look for, so I'm going to do some pros and cons for what I look for and I look forward to seeing what you guys like Pro Underpowere/underplayed (I like being different) Can do damage but not focused on it Provides utility Has obvious crew synergy's but not stuck to them Buffs rather than debuffs Is a game changer (not just 1 dimensional) Is male (not sexist I just like to see my self in the masters role and I'm not a girl) Prefers big guys to small guys Cons Clumpy ball crew Bland appearance (for master and crew) Summoner Lacks range Overly gimmicky (most of gremlins) Relys on a condition (sometimes specific to the master) So all in all I don't think my perfect master exists yet, but there are alot who hit almost all my boxes Closest are zoraider but male or Wong not as a gremlin
  7. Ow also forgot gunline nb with jacobe and lucias. Lucias can take the guild guard spam, then dopple ganger joins in, beckoners pull people into it, illuminated act as guards and brilliance people for Jacob, and you use depleted as tar pit mines to bog people down and make clouds. Boring after your first time and your opponent will hate you, but really strong on things like reckoning or turf war

I personalt would go lucias and Jacob, Jacobs got strong minions that lucias also loves. they both like tannan and graves. lucias likes masks and rams and Jacob can sift for them Lucias can discard aces to gain ss ir discard them for defence. beckoners taking a 3rd action each means they can lure then lure then brilliance so Jacob can 1 shot the enemy. They can both make terror tots speed demons (jacobe keeps the ace of mask and lucias tells them to walk more) I think there onslaught will be great and no matter where they each are in relation to each other they still synergies with each other and every model near them. They are also both very well dressed

Zoraider brewy for more poison and obay into his hell zone There are 2 ways to do it Masters with op synergy (collet, raspy or lucias and macabe(macabe buffs minions then lucias makes them do more)) Or crew synergy (pandora/dreamer or lucias/jacob) The master stuff is more showy and wowfactor but I think the crew synergy will be overall stronger Sorry for the coppt didn't read the second page

    Ok, I am also dubious about having 26 ish Ss tied up in 3 modles that arnt good at doing anything particular, maybe ill take that set up for a turf war/ squatters rights where area denile and interact prevention are strong it just feels a little unnatural to me to spend that many Ss on modles that cant reliably kill it do objectives.

    Ah ok, I love modles that make players make choices that are both bad, take 3 damage or gain paralyzed is so much stronger mentally then either one guaranteed. Ok so I'm starting to see it, I normally wouldn't spend more than 8ss on a model with a damage spread worse than 3/4/5. But bad options force bad plays and I do like that, I'm seeing her holding a flank while lucias and 2 illuminated push the other How dose she get next to things?     Over the past 8 months I have slowly gone from thinking a nurse is a waste of Ss to thinking its the best answer resers get to any big guy Well I now want turning round on candy, I remember on a malifools or cheated fates they say she is almost an auto include with lucias and she is so strong, 1 podcast even said she is so strong we don't need to discuss her (which didn't help), So what makes her so strong, particularly in reference to lucias

I use it like you use a giant in warhammer, just stick I in the middle and let the enemy wast time taking down the big bad, make I reactivate and go to 1 hp as your last action she he can go straight away and heal, just expect it to die and don't worry about it, you need to make up you points in others places while he stalles

At low Ss i never by him, at high Ss I either buy him and focus on suporting him by summoning aboms near him and shooting into combats he is in with Levi ( if I hit the deso he gets to attack if I hit the enemy he gets to die) or If I don't by him I don't start with any aboms and judge it from there when and wear people are dieng, some times 3/4 aboms doing schemes and making loads of df tests are better than a single deso

I think there is a big difference between torniments and flgs, at you flgs if you took pandy collet or Hamlin in 1.5 the People just stoped wanting to play you, and so never learnt how to beat them, tournament players however have to play them to learn how to beat them and grow to a point where its just like playing anyone els

  18. The 4 you mentioned math can do some huge damage, the reason Levi is known as a super damage guy is the continual damage, and repossitioning for no ap. An example, against an armor 3 htw htk model with 12 wds He can pop up near it out of a waif so he didn't need to move, use the half hp upgrade and channel to nock them down to 6 Then 2 moderates or a severe and a weak and there dead, with channel your plus to hit and to damage so you can almost always cheat your damage Others can do more impressive flourishes and fancy smancy stuff, But Levi just cranks out completely unstoppable damage over and over, He can kill the toughest modles in the game easyer than anyone else
  19. They were questioning Levi as Levi dosent ignore df triggers so the rider still reduces his dmg, not sure how it works with his half hp upgrade
  20. The whole relic hammer hungry thing, maybe relic hammers kill belief, and hungry is a tyrant but doesn't believe it so the relic hammer can't kill his belief, and we all now how self assured constructs are .... No?... No? Ah well
  21. hi there, ok my solutions to your issues are as follows (dont have my book with me again so i may miss a few things) the brew master bubble i find this challanging, and havnt played against it much, in my experiance and from what i have read target the totem first, he is expencive for a totam and it helps shoot brewy down. avoid the bubble, on something like turf war it might pay to go and stand in the bubble in the middle to get your points, but for the most point dont go near it, unless you have to for your points then just leav him alone it effect freindlys too, i may be wrong on this but i belive it effects freindly grems, so try and lure/pull them into it to so it is less worth it for him kill him, once the totem is gone you can just unload on brewy from a far, snipers, casters, anythign with good ranged damage spread will take him down, but dont comit to meny ss to doing it, i seem to recall hans is amazing against him with his upgrade poping stall the staller, any ranged stalling techniques such as nurses make the time waster waste his own time get in first, i may be wrong on this as i have no book, but i belive he has to start the aura up every turn, so if you can go first and use a cojo style modle to push him away then it realy messes up his turn last thing is realy week and not ideal but use you own negative aura, jakunaa (withe the damage aura upgrade), aboms, anything that can passivly hurt, stick it next to him, and make him regret standing there Tanan block him, like my answer for most things just get in his way, nurses are 1 ss less and stop him, void wretches can slow him and go toe to toe for 2 ss less. get to him befor he gets to you, one of the best things against him is makign him fight out of possition, he is a turret of denial, if you can make that turret set up in an insignificant place then it means he is worthless, any fastish 6 ss modle such as ronnin, ss miners that can engage him early befor he gets were he wants to be are good blasts, tanans best defence is hiding at the back, if he uses anothere modle as a guard such as greaves then you can shoot graves and blast to tanan withought taking the manipulative cheacks riders (mech especialy) ok so once again stall them out, some of the best suport peices in a crew are some of the best at stallign the enemy, yes riders are near unkillable, but if you dotn try to kill them then that dosnt matter conditions, things like burning get around there df trigger, stack up the conditions (including things like slow and paraliyz) and let them die wp duels, as mentioned by meny others, there trigger is a df trigger, every faction can target wp some how, and every crew should have a way to do so just incase. it may be a damaging attack, or it may be a condition, but every faction can hit wp slop hauler these are a pain, but withought them gremlins would not be a competative faction im afrade, gremlins are not winning every torniment and in my meta most people gave up on gremlins but if you are struggling a few thoughts snipers, almost all factions have atleast one, finde that fireing line and go to work on them, burst, anything you have to unleash a lot of damage quickly will work, ss miners/ cerbarus, hunters/exicutioners, young neph or 2, anythign you can get to there side of the borde quickly and then do damage, if there is nothing to heal then the heal is wasted. go after they activater, they cant do much to you after they have gone, so if you leav your attack untill after them you can attack unhinderd, hopefully you can activate first next turn to stack the damage, a staple of malifaux and something i always try and do is make the enemy chose between giving me a point or saving somethign they like, i have on occasion left a scheme un finished when i could have finished it so next turn they have to pick between stopping me or saving 2 modles. hanged i have already said alot about hanged but just a little add on, i understand they take them to counter something of yours, so i find eithere ignorning them and throwing 3 wd non healers at them that will take them 2 activations to kill works and slows them down, or throw a curve ball, if your known for playing somethign that reliyes on healing, kj/von schil/slop hauling/ brewmaster then stop, play a game with no healing so now there hanged feals wasted next game use healign again as they may not have one, this also helps avoid a stagnant metter, i spent a long time playing one freind who had seamus and used the same crew set up, it became verry easy to beat them as i knew there tricks, then after 6 months they used karies and beat me as my crew had taken talored modles that now didnt gain there full use also as I said with brewy, use passive damage, things like abombs, resser aura upgrade, sues burning aura as they all bypass terrifiying and incorporial hope this helps some people, sry about spelling i wrote this quick

    thanks a lot hateful, that's relay helpful. i do despise nurses from having them used against me all the time, but the more I think about what I struggle against the more i can see the nurses de buff helping against nasty enemy's that daws crew does not have the damage to put down and buffs helping against needed friendlys to do important jobs

Ok, I have come round to autopsies in a big way simple CUs of there reactivate, I used to use crooligans as they stayed alive and my autopsies didn't, but by using them more for range and just burning my opponents hand I now get more activations from reactivate, if the opponent didn't burn all there cards then there is more chance if things like glimpse going of as they didn't use cards to stop it
  24. Lastly hanged are used for one of 4 roles normally and every faction has access to either good ca attacks or good stalling 1. Stop you going were you want to go Use your ca attacker to punch through it or use your staller to take them out for a few turns while you slip by 2. Stop you going whear he doesn't want you to If its not crucial then forget about it, let him waste 2-3 turns then block him with a 3-5 Ss staller 3. Bothe of the above Alow 10 Ss of modles to hold/ kill him, couple of oxford mages, guild lawyer, freikorps librarian, nurse. Accept that as losses and cripple him else wear. 4. They want to shut down a particular model, with me its my kj or deso engine. Just avoid him if possible, if not then fight through it, one opponent of mine took a hanged to stop my kj shenanigans so I waited for a high card had turn 2 and chucked everything kj had at him wial doing my schemes with everything else I killed the hanged and a bell and took there entire turn 2 worth of attacks then left him there to die turn 3 having got 3 scheme and 2 strat points mid turn 3 wial they had 1 strat point The bell was helped into the ground by sue

Also pulling this one out my behinde, but I seem to remember sue being great against them, ill right why he is when i get home to my books Also any stall model such as nurse's (I hate them but they work) hanged are typically an over costed area denial, stall model them self, so if you can absorb there stalling with a cheaper one of your own then your winning there. avoid getting big 12 Ss guys stuck with them. one of the best results I ever had against one was using a void wretch, he went to cut of my power rit on the flank, so I sent one wretch to the other corner and used the others to perma slow him and keep going for a glimpse trigger by focus biting
