  1. Nice work on that seam on Yamaziko's front arm. Any tips on how you did it?
  2. Right on, thanks! My technique is just layering with fairly wet paint. White basecoat x 2 Very lite yellow basecoat on top of that. Then I went from lite orange to dark red in 5 steps. Simple as that!
  3. Nice work! I like the overall color scheme. It works well. I agree on the hungering darkness. I really hope they make an alt for this. Cause otherwise I like this crew.
  4. I haven't seen a lot of photos yet of painted Misaki stuff so I decided to share mine. Also I've been so completely impressed with the new plastics they inspired me to paint, which is no small feat these days. My first model is Shang. I've always wanted to paint a fire model. This is actually my first attempt at painting fire. I'm rather pleased with how it came out, and it was much easier than I expected it to be. Sorry the pics aren't better, I'm dealing with a sub par camera right now.
  5. Find a little doll with one and strip it down.
  6. I have a scorched earth mat from Zuzzy and it is so cool. I just painted a few seeks ago. It only took about a 1/2 a day and came out great. I totally recommend their products
  7. My favorite is Infinity's Aragoto, what's not to love here... And the chaos witch from Freebooter
  8. Haha! coming from you guys I'll take those as compliments...
  9. Hey everyone, I wanted to share the short film I just finished in school: A young robot goes on the adventure of a lifetime. But, can he learn enough about himself to make it in this crazy world? [ame] [/ame]
  10. A showdown is the western term your looking for.
  11. I thought you were friends and a regular opponent of ol Spud? Is this all sarcasm? In which case hilarious:amen:
  12. Thanks for the creds Deaf, but I can't claim the pooh river, that was Underbheit's doing. This should turn out well, we have high hopes
  13. I went through my rule book for the first Errata and wrote everything in. I'll probably do it again for these updates, or at least mark the rulebook with a notation to check the FAQ or Errata
  14. If there is time why not swap forces and try it again. I don't think I would limit turns, unless there was a major time factor. In demos I've done I don't even track turns. Let the game play out so there are many situations and events to learn from. And yeah, let them win without being to obvious about it
  15. If you are listening (Whomever makes the uber cool Wyrd Chronicles) I think it would benefit from a sweet battle report with lots of pictures. If that's too much work then at least some pictures of models in actual game terrain. I've seen your gencon utube videos and we all know you have some way cool terrain. Seriously though, pictures of models in actual terrain is something I think would only help and is quite lacking. I've tried a few times to tell people about Malifaux (who have no previous mini knowledge) and I've had to go to "other" mini websites for good pictures of terrain and battles so they could get an idea of what we actually do.
  16. What exactly are you doing with Incite/Pacify? This ability only means the effected model has to activate next or last. It doesn't allow you to dictate what they do in their activation.
  17. Hey, I saw this binding and it looks great. My book is fine and I've been rough with it. If it ever comes apart I'll get the spiral binding.
  18. I have a real soft spot for Freebooter. I love their sculpts!
  19. I used Punk Zombies for the first time last night and they were awesome! Paired Katanas at combat 7 is sweet. I did have one that only had 1 wound left, so I hit him with stimulant and painkellers to make him combat 11 unkillable. The effects were a bit overkill The Zombie Chihuahua is a must. Get the stick is great, kept me with plenty of parts. My only problem is not having enough extra models for Monsterous Creation. A second Flesh Construct waiting in the wings is a definite must. I tried Bete Noire for the first time, but that was a bit much also learning Punk Zombies. I couldn't remember her rules and didn't get much use out of her. Sadly she died from Black Blood before I got to do much with her. And I didn't have the card for One with the Night. *Mental note: Learn one new mini at a time!
  20. If your clothing and metals are looking too similar you can always throw some different colors into the mix. Some blue into the metals, or reds or whatever. If your just talking about a lite tint or wash you can go almost any direction with metal, it is a reflection after all.
  21. Nice job! I'm lovin the new hat, a little bit O crazy! And the shard is cool too. Digity dog :flame:
  22. Hi everyone I wanted to let you know about us and send out an open invite. We have started playing Malifaux each week on Tuesday nights. Right now it's open gaming and helping everyone to learn the game. If you want a demo I am available. I have everything for 2 people to play so you don't need to bring anything. Ask for Lance. I'm there as often as I can be and lately it's been a lot Tuesday evenings, every week! Starting around 5 or 6pm until close, 10:30pm Oakland California End Game, 921 Washington Street www.endgameoakland.com No size limit. Most people play 25SS or a starter box.
  23. Plus you have to factor in what inbreeding eventually does to a population. At least 25% of them will be born without a limb or with really bad teeth. These atrocities would of course have to be cannibalized. This could be used to replenish wounds but would limit the size of your clan further...
