Thunder Archers (which I really liked) have a decent stat line with a pretty long charge range of 8". Why? They do not have a :meleeattack and I saw no 10T upgrade that could grant one. Given that when charging you must end the charge within engagement range and engagement range is defined as the with the longest reach can the archers with no at all even legally perform a charge? Am I missing something? (Oh, and why does Smoke & Shadows; Smoke Bombs have a rng:3 and states that the templates have to be placed within contact of the base of the model?) One effect would be Transfixing Gaze on the Wicked Mistress upgrade card (page 190, rulebook or upgrade card). There are probably more abilities out there (or on the way). King Of Speling Posted April 27, 2015 Report Share Posted April 27, 2015 I'd rather have a katanaka sniper for the price. Better range, better damage, also able to perform in melee. I've tried running 1,2, 3 archers - even with blot out the sky upgrade and they just don't earn their points for me.
