Viruk
Hi, was wondering what the 4th photo (dark, short, wide) was? I couldn't identify it, and there wasn't a point in asking during the comp... I wrote it in the description - it's the cauldron with contents glowing in the dark. But I see your point - it should have been done in a more obvious way.
SpiralngCadavr
Oops, didn't see that. Thanks
Viruk
More pics and my rambling on the model here.
Wings
Really nice - I particularly like his hair for some reason and your black cloth looks really good. I agree with you that there is perhaps a bit of overkill going on with all that punishment, but it does create a very interesting looking mini. Linus Mcmold
The poor guy must have burnt his hands beyond any feeling... Love the skin tones, his mask and the fire. His robe is a bit too dark in my opinion... Overall, best painted version I've seen so far. *smug*

SpiralngCadavr
Very nice, didn't realize from the illustration how messed up he was.
Viruk
Thanks for all the comments, really appreciate them. In the meantime, I've painted two more minis. First off, the Judge and the puppet version (more pics here). I've also written up a short post comparing the old and the new LJ crew. If you're interested - there are some side by side pics and my thoughts here.
SpiralngCadavr
I quite like what you did with the Judge, and agree with your assessments about the crews. The Dead Justice Judge is also my favorite (I actually go a duplicate to convert to my living version of him, 'cause I didn't like the old model)
Wings
It's really interesting seeing the different crews side by side, for the differences in your painting as much as the different minis. I hadn't realised quite how much of a size difference there was between the different Lady J's for a start... You've done a fantastic job on them all. Linus Mcmold
Wow, just wow. Your Judge is awesome and fits his idea perfectly, always thought his coat should be whitish. I also wondered why the old metal Judge didn't have a hat. Love the green flames, masterfully executed! I'd like to request a group photo with alt Lady J, old Death Marshalls , new Judge and new Scales of Justice. I'd love to see them together... Synthet
Nice work Viruk! Now I actually thinking about getting that crew:)
Lussuria
They look so cool all together. Beautiful work. Very jealous!!! *grin*
SpiralngCadavr
Holy $%^&! Viruk, I just noticed your backlog. You're a better man than I if you're keeping that number so low.
Viruk
My backlog is a constantly changing thing. Tight now it looks quite good (check out the latest version of my signature) but that will change soon when I receive the order with new Perdita and Sonnia boxes
SpiralngCadavr
Heh, sure, mine definitely fluctuates, though I've been trying to keep purchases almost exclusively to cool stuff I can't get again (i.e. LE's etc.), because Kingdom Death is going to obliterate any semblance of queue completion when it arrives... Viruk
I was very tempted to get KD but managed to the resist the temptation (though I did back new Warzone later on...). Here's another one, a miniature that I found really challenging to paint. More pics and pics of traps together with my thoughts on these models here. thedarkknight
I really like your basing for those. Very nice painting as well, makes me want to get my hands on that set to paint myself.
SpiralngCadavr
Wow. Just... yeah. One of the best things you've painted, in my opinion. Those materials look great, and it really has a sense of a scene.
Linus Mcmold
Awesome paintjob on the Pathfinder. He looks even more epic like on the group shots with traps. I guess I'll get one for my Ortegas who're on the way and to use with new Lucius when he eventually gets released. Thanks for the Lady J photo, that would be my miniature choice for playing if I ever decided to play her. The crew in the picture has a great color scheme. I was considering getting her because she looks epic for Malifaux setting, but she doesn't have an appealing fluff for me and I have so much painting material already... Synthet
Fantastc job on the pathfinder! It might be your best paintjob:)
Viruk
I'm currently enjoying two-week long holidays so I finally have some time to catch up with my painting. Here's another one I've finished. More pics on my blog. I've already finished a couple more minis but haven't taken pic yet. I'm focusing on the painting now :1_Exhausted_Puppet:
