My technique is quite basic: 3 tones for each colour, using black to darken the middle tone and either white or another light tone to light up to get the third tone. Darkest tone covers the whole area, middle tone covers most of it and lighter tone just the highest bits. Sometimes I use washes in the recesses, but not always, mainly to help blending the two first tones, or to darken further the first tone. I use mainly GW, including washes, and a few P3 here and there (skin tones mainly). Next mini to come: Mechanical Rider, once exam period is over...
