  3. Very cool (pun!) Are they heavy?
  4. Link to my youtube video for my box of soul stones effect.
  5. I thought this was the better sub forum to post this in, I am planning a new theme table and need track and train bits for it, but I have absolutely no idea about this different sizes of model trains... Can someone share some wisdom with me as to which model train size is closest to the scale we use in malifaux? Thanks in advance.
  6. Kade comes in the pandora starter box, so most people assume that's his best fit. As a player who uses Pandora a LOT (she's my gal in the single master league I am in) I have to say, I never pull Kade out of the transport He is a delightful model though, and its nice to play him in other crews, just not Pandy's.
  7. ?!?!?! Her break out role on "My So-Called Life" was a redhead! She looked fab. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MySoCalledLife
  8. Ok I will join in (fun thread idea!) Guild: 1- Lady Justice - Gina Carano (former Strikeforce womens champ, lead actress in Haywire) 2- Perdita Ortega - Mayra Leal (she was the naked girl in the begining of Machete, she looks like a much younger Eva Mendez) 3- Sonia Criid - Rose McGowan (From Charmed and a bunch of movies) 4- C. Hoffman - Joseph Gordon-Levitt (looper, inception, look at his IMDB and picture him bald ) 5- Lucas McCabe - Alexander Skarsgård (Eric Northman from True Blood) 6- Lucius - doesn't much matter as he never takes off the mask. Neverborn: 1- Lilith - Jessica Alba (I don't know why, but I think with blood red hair she'd be great) 2- Pandora -Deborah Ann Woll (Jessica in True Blood) 3- Zoraida- Jean Marsh (She was the evil queen in Willow, and she's still going strong ) 4- Dreamer/LCB- Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran from Game of thrones. LCB would be CGI voiced by Ron Perlman) 5- Jakob Lynch- Wil Wheaton, for fanboi points 6- Collodi- CGI voiced by Mike Patton (lead singer of Faith no More, did the voice of the darkness in the video game of the same name) Arcanists: 1- Marcus- The Rock (WWE, bunch of movies) 2- Rasputina- Michelle Borth (Hawaii 5-0 tv series) 3- Collette- Claire Danes (many movies) 4- Ramos- Sean Connery 5- Mei Feng- Chiaki Kuriyama (she was the evil japanese sachoolgirl in Kill Bill 1) 6- Kaeris- Karolina Kurkova (played Cover Girl in GI Joe - Rise of Cobra) Resurrectionists: 1- Nicodem- Jeff Bridges 2- Seamus- Gary Oldman 3- Kirai- Lucy Liu 4- Mc Mourning- Jeff Goldblum 5- Yan Lo- Sonnie Chiba 6- Molly- Anna Faris Outcasts: 1- Viktoria(s)- Mila Jolovich 2- Leveticus- John Malkovich 3- Som'er Teeth- CGI, voiced by Ian Mcshane(deadwood) 4- Hamelin- Cillian Murphy (28 days later, batman begins) 5- Ophelia- CGI, voiced by Juliette Lewis (natural born killers) 6- Von Schill- Hugo Weaving (matrix, cpt america, V for Vendetta, ect) Ten Thunders (see above plus): Misaki- Michelle Yeoh (crouching tiger, hidden dragon and about a billion other movies)
  9. As always the strategy should determine your final crew choice in Malifaux, and it's easy for people to try to come up with a pre-picked "list" as in other table top games, but that's kind of missing the point of Malifaux/not optimum. Anyway, with that said, a very strong core is: Leveticus Rusty Alyce (8ss) Ryle (8ss) Watcher (3ss) Canine Remains (2ss) The above, in a 35 stone game leaves you 14ss to tailor the crew to best win the strategy you pull. You could for example add in two punk zombies and have a 4 pool if you need their movement awesomeness or some pretty good melee, you could go belles to have lure if you want, necropunks if you want their shenanigans, or you could always toss in some SPA's to have an early Engine. Also, having 14 to play with gives you the option of bringing A&D, and running with a 1 pool, I don't use many soulstones with Levi usually, but your mileage may vary. Try out some options and see what you mesh with best.
  10. lol yeah I tagged Wyrd in them on facebook Thanks!
  11. Few more of my things... And my Kaeris Crew I've been playing with since the newer models came out (Love playing it too):
  12. Thanks! I based Misaki on a home made (all my bases are home-made) rock I made out of a wine bottle cork because my that hunk of lead she comes with just didn't do it for me. I also replaced her pole arm's handle with a bit of copper pinning rod. I will try to take some solo shots this week.
  13. Blondes have more red jokers? hehe
  14. Edit: There's more of my miniatures further down in the thread --->
  15. Ever since I took an 8 pool with the Viks, I never looked back. The absolute LEAST I will allow myself is 7ss pool now. It's just too worth it to have all those uses of stones. It turns the Viks from a good crew into a bouse crew.
  16. I agree with the sentiment that Hans is overpriced. If they got rid of the "cant snipe if he moved" provision it would be easier to reconcile his cost. But even then, I still probably wouldn't take him.
  17. With my Viks I take Misaki rather than Taelor vs Kirai. Misaki has Magic Weapon and you can buff it up to a 6" melee range, or buff it to a massive 8dmg severe strike, OR buff it to Blast markers All of this is great versus a Kirai crew This also asks the question "do you have Misaki?"
  18. You could add in the Student of Conflict to gain another guy with a sword, he's a good with the viks a lot, and an amazing addition to them in strats where you can predict enemy movements (defensive side of shared line in the sand especially). Sure his model is a bit more of a "kids anime" than a "samurai" but Im sure you could say the same about the Ronin models too. And nothing says you couldnt proxy in some samurai figures.
  19. Doesn't the "unexplained Connection" thing mean he can still hire Coppelius?
  20. What's your reasoning behind Killjoy? Is it to go toe to toe with Lady J? If so, good luck with that No but seriously, there's only a handful of models who can really test that crazy blind red head in melee and live to tell about it. Who's your leader? Von Schill? Or are you playing him as a henchman? If you're playing him as leader, take at least one friekorpsman and companion activate him to provide some base blocking and other shenannigans. Trappers, yes Take 2 and use from the shadows, plug Lady J early, and then often. She'll cheat or SS in turn 1 and 2, so get her to use up her SS pool with them before you commit to any sort of closer ranged engagements. Specialist wont do much for you, he's too slow and he will be bird bait as he plods up field. Yeah his blast counters are good and all, but you're not going against a clumpy crew, so they probably wont ever get used, and he wont likely recover his SS cost. I'd take Librarian instead of him, for healing flips and +df. Two things you're going to need against Lady J. A convict gunslinger could do you well against Misaki, she has that 6" range with wind, but if you can get her held down with his AOE shooting, you can drain more cards from your opponents hand, or have her paralyzed and ready to kill (misaki is not that tough when she's on the receiving end). As for schemes, take kill protoge on Misaki, he will have to advance her, so you may aswell kill her for VP, since if you leave misaki alone, she can eat your breakfast.
  21. Viks are not hard to learn, but like anyone in Malifaux they are tricky to master. Remember that they can share spell effects (useful if you take the librarian for healing flips), and can switcharoo too. Line of Sight is a must versus any Ortega crew, so make sure you're using the recommended amount of scenery on the table, otherwise it's going to be a shoot fest and any melee-centric crew is going to be red pudding before they can do any damage. I would have left the specialist and taken the librarian, personally. She brings more to the overall team than the specialist, unless you reeeaally need blasts.
  22. Picked up the L Twins at my LGS yesterday I don't get paid til next week so the rest of my shopping list will have to wait til then. But in the mean time I have new Malifaux models to paint, huzzah!
