Smokey616
With regards the show girls action, (0) sword dance; I'm right in assuming they have to pay with ap for the attack she interupts her move with? And doesn't get a cheeky free one?
Geckilian
The strike is free. From the clarifications area on Malifaux.com - 'NOTE: - If you use 'Sword Dance' you do not have to pay extra AP for the strike made when moving.' Smokey616
Ouch! That's hugely powerful! Does it count for every move made that activation?
Geckilian
Yep. It's rather good.
Tograth
Remember though, that it's only move *actions*, not move *effects*. That is, walks, charges and jumps are the only things that will trigger it. Pushes and the like will not trigger it (such as those, say, from One Fluid Motion). Indeed, that is true, such a shame though:P
Smokey616
Not at all! It does more than enough I was content with my initial interpretation, but this way is muchos mighty! Duet and Cassandra? ... ... Yes please
Mako
Can you walk past a model, hit it as you reach it, use one fluid motion to get a push, then finish the walk? Giving you, say, a 4" walk, a strike, a 4" push, then the remaining 5" of the walk. And all for the princely sum of 1AP?

Toonook
So let me see if I have this right... I have Cassy with 1 model nearby and another model slightly off to the side a fair way back. With line of sight to the rear model I could declare a charge on that model, taking me into melee range of the closer model. I could pause the charge to melee strike it, trigger 'one fluid motion' allowing me to push 4 inches, then continue the charge, giving me an extra 4 inches of charge range in the rare occasion the positioning works out? Awesomesauce!!! Also do you have to make a disengaging thingy to continue moving since you're in melee range?
Scurry
if u trigger one fluid motion no but if u didnt get a triger off it that gave a push then they would get a disengaging strike
zatoichi98
So just to be clear, after the Corphee does (0)Sword Dance then takes a walk action, it can make one blade strike against a model in her path, then must perform a disengaging duel to see if it can finish the interrupted walk action? And if I wanted to ignore that disengaging duel, I simply need a mask (in my free strike duel) in order to get the 'one fluid motion' trigger and push out of the target's melee range? Is all this correct?
Adran
Activate Sword dance. walk. Interupt walk after x to make a strike. (can activate triggers here) Continue walking. If you leave an enemies melee zone whilst walking you will have to disengage. Just as you would if you just walked past them.

Yes that is correct, unless they cast the sublime performance spell first, then they automatically get an extra mask in their combat, giving them the 4" push to ignore the strike. Smokey616
Yeah the disengaging still counts I think but both the coryphee and cassie can give negatives to attacks and a duet gives ou 2 negatives on disengaging strikes. Here is another one then; can ya spend a soulstone and sac a dove for another uber soulstone on the same flip?
Smokey616
Unless you were pushed out of melee range!!! Sorry good point!
Ozz
I dont think you can do that Smokey616 as does it not say to count as using a soul stone when you sac the dove, you just don't need the use SS ability for it?
Smokey616
Just a thought
mistercactus
Only played with coryphee the once. I wondered if the interupting strike was supposed to be free or not. In the end I thought it was probably too powerful, so I paid the extra ap for it. Won't be doing that next time!
Ozz
Haha, no they are crazy good, but you pay 14 stones for them so have to be that way or something like it:D
