nix
So based on your posted tables before the top three neverborn Were Z, Z, and Lilith? Still the same masters or they swapping em around? Top table was Pandora vs Dreamer. Table 2 was Lilith vs Levi/Collodi Table 3 was Hamelin vs Pandora
nix
hmm one of the guild players dropped? any particular reason? Still 4 Guild players.
AgentRock
Good stuff, Nix. Is Dixon the one running the Levi/Collodi list? I remember him saying something about that on one of the post-gencon shows, and was going to recommend it to my Levi playing friend. Let me know how it goes. Table 1 in turn 4 is a Lilith v Lilith mirror match. Its a true Mirror Match with identical crews. Lilith, Mature, 3x Tot, Primordial Magic, Young Table 2 is Zoraida v Seamus Table 3 is Ramos v Kirai @AWOL - yes, Dixon is running the Levi/Collodi list. It has been his favorite since returning from Gencon. It will be interesting to watch this round, the games will set interesting placement for the end of the tournament. The top 6 positions all have a chance at 1st and 2nd place.
Fetid Strumpet
Hmmmm, what strat came up that the resser player decided to play Seamus, or has he been playing fixed master all tourney? In my own case I find Seamus only really out performs Kirai at treasure hunt, although that's probably just me.

Baneon
I have to thank Nix and his support staff for running an excellent event. I had tons of fun and learned allot for my first major Malifaux ...well anything actually. Feel good that I had a solid showing and made top table in round 3. Glad I got to meet everyone and play the infamous Dixon and First Generation Awesome. Well done on a marvelous and fun event. See you next time. Hookers
me and dixon vote for differential format next time:hidingpuppet
Dolomyte
Differential is actually the format I like the least. it basically encourages people to take douche lists and deny the opponent any vp.
nilus
Differential is actually the format I like the least. it basically encourages people to take douche lists and deny the opponent any vp. I see it as the most hard core format. Not only do you need to win you need to crush your enemy. It can lead to doucheness though. Honestly I am really happy with the 3 scoring method standard. There was a a lot of debate on how to score Malifaux games and to be honest after Gaining ground my opinion has softened a lot on it. For local tourneys I am rotating the scoring method. For large tournies I am picking the method based on the style of tourney.
nix
Up late? We have live coverage, round by round, of the NOVA Open Midnight Madness tournament. So, we ended up with some late-shows not making registration in time, and a couple drops due to Hurricane and Ball-and-chain concerns. With that said, Midnight Madness kicked off with 12 players. This is Single Elimination, with the highest ranked "eliminated player" in a round pulling forward for a second chance in the event of odd pairings. I expect the odd pairing to occur on round 2, then smooth sailing after that.
