Terarin
Hi all, My bro's and I got into Malifaux over the last couple of months and while we've been hammering through the rulebook I've managed to get my first crew (mostly) painted. My friends at my LGS have been pestering me lately to get my photo studio set back up so we can all get pics, and they've been very pointed about posting pics of my Rasputina here in the Wyrd forums. Nothing special I think, but I'm pleased with having enough painted models to put on the table. So, if you'll indulge me: Rasputina Ice Constructs Wendigo ...and my personal favorite, which is in this crew until I finish something else... Convict Gunslinger I'm concerned that my lights and camera settings still aren't right. These pictures look dark to me, but it seems everything looks dark to me on my monitor. AvatarForm
Well done. I particularly enjoyed the Gunslinger's tatts!

Terarin
Thanks guys. I've found painting the Malifaux models a little therapeutic. It's nice to have only a couple of things on my paint table, and pair that with not having to paint units, I'm enjoying doing something else. U.S. Male
Great models, I really like your interpretation of Rasputina and the tats on the convict.
Heldrak
Rasputina's fishnet stockings are a nice touch (and the prison tattoos on the Convict).
Brandubh
Very nice. I love the fishnet hose. That's also one of the best Wendigo's I've seen yet. Nice simple and effective. (Why is the simple things are hard?) -Patrick
pancake ss
nice tats on the slinger.
Poko
Love the shiny leather (or did Ramos invent latex a century too early just for her? ) on Raspy. The gamin and Wendigo are also top, but I'm not a fan of the blueberry-flavored Golem. Technically it's very good, but it just clashes a bit too obviously for me. The convict's tatoos are a nice touch as well.
Terarin
Love the shiny leather (or did Ramos invent latex a century too early just for her? ) on Raspy. Yeah, the patent leather is not right for the period. I might as well do camo, too.
Poko
This isn't such a bad idea, gamins in "natural camo" of swirling blues.
rvrchamp
Lookin awesome man, glad to see some regulars from the PP forums here too. I just picked up a pair of crews too... but painting is gonna have to wait until I order some bases. Keep up the good work, and I love the paint jobs! (the fishnets were a nice touch 8)

daemonkin
Loving Tina and the gunslinger. Very nicely done. Would love to know how you did the stockings as I want to emulate the translucent effect on Colette that the Wyrd guys have done. D.
Terarin
Well, I'm not really sure if I can explain the sheer look of the stockings very well. I'm still kind of figuring it out. Basically I approached it using flesh colors as highlights. When the fabric is tight the flesh will show through. I ended up mixing the flesh color into the fabric color and applying it like any highlight. After that I just drew in the fishnet lines. daemonkin
Thanks Terarin that's kinda what I had in mind although I was also considering just using glazes to try and darken down certain areas that would naturally be less skin-tight to achieve the same effect. Terarin
I have had the most success with blending versus glazes or washes.
