  1. Hi, a timing question. Incorporeal means model is immune to damage during pushes and moves. Lilith's transfixing gaze states that "If this push ends with the target model in base contact with impassable or severe terrain, it suffers damage and gains slow condition." My question is, does Incorporeal "end" as the model reaches it's final position in the push and it still takes damage because damage happens after the push ends/incorporeal no longer takes effect?
  2. Thanks for the examples. I guess I'll know from now!
  3. I was under the impression most cards have it, but I guess I was wrong, even if I still think implying flips is not a brilliant way to communicate them on cards.
  4. Because in every other example I can think of, the word "flip" is present when asking the player to flip?
  5. Hi, i have checked the FAQ, but could not find anything definitive- when Eternal Flame uses it's "Weld Together" action, it says to "discard a card and heal 1/2/3 damage". My question is, is the value of the card discarded deciding the number healed, or should there be a normal healing flip following it, as it's not outright said to "make a healing flip"?
  6. As I finally get to play more than once a year, I have one question that I'd love to make sure I got the right of: I declare charge to enemy model. along the path of that direct movement line, there is another enemy model, 1" away from the path, so when i charge, i get into his engagement range. Does it stop my movement dead in it's track? There shouldn't be any disengage attack since it's a charge, not walk, but do we engage? Second-if I decided to walk to the target, in the same conditions- so 1"/engagement range from my movement path, would the enemy engage me, and force disengage strike when i tried to continue movement for that action?
  7. Seeing his clothes and sword, I'm almost certain he's supposed to be a Skih.
  8. "What's a henchman" is a snarky answer, but more realistically, there's far fewer Henchmen than places, and even if, some people just want to test things for themselves ,not rely on demos by others. Either way, it doesn't invalidate anything I just said- people who play with proxies would not buy into Malifaux anyway, so no profit is lost if they play with proxies.
  9. Let's say I have little interest in Wyrd initially, but get the book and some statcards. I play a game or two, and decide I don't like it. Wyrd lost nothing, as I would not buy the game otherwise anyway. Now, assume I liked the game, but decided to play with whatever proxies...again, Wyrd lost nothing, because I was NOT willing to buy the models in the first place. Now, assume I liked the game, and the aesthetics- I will then buy models, so Wyrd actually gets money from a customer which otherwise would not get into the game. Essentially, you're not selling to people who would not buy anyway, but you're selling to people who were on the fence.
  10. Ignoring the impressive attempt to be offended at a company for giving stuff away for free... FINALLY! It's a great thing, and I am very happy that Wyrd decided to make the move.
  11. It did occur to me halfway through painting! Either that, or she has a fashion doppelganger she just skins when she needs new clothes...
  12. Vallejo model colour magenta, plus pink from the same line on tips, and very thinned out red wash.
  13. After ages spent painting at a snail's pace, I've finally cobbled together the basis of my Neverborn. I still have Tuco, Nekima, the one other young nephilim, and waldgeists in the line. Not to mention the doppelganger and the beckoners. I should be done with Lilith's band by 2017... Anyway, the light isn't amazing, but hope you like them. They're pretty standard tabletop style.
  14. That thing looks rather imposing and in a non-goofy pose, can't wait to see it painted by the talented people around this forum!
  15. Daaaaaw. Adorabelest little critters. And gross momma.
  16. From my understanding the Guild is a non-discriminatory employer. It did start as a coalition of world mages, from West to Far East, so it;d make sense it'd be primarily (of course within reason..it is XIXc organization) discriminating for skill.
  17. I for once approve. Simple pose, hopefully few pieces, still fairly detailed. There's absolutely no reason that the cheap grunt units should be overly complex and "dynamic" to the point some of the heroes are.
  18. That's because the game is set in far future, and the reason why the empire is tyrannical, is because it's the best way to keep humans from f..ing with the reality itself and summoning unspeakable evils all the time. Gender, skin colour and the like are irrelevant to that. Simply put- as long as you praise the emprah and do your job loyally, and aren't a mutant, they don't care, because they have no reason to care.
  19. Quite like them. The jumping down pose looks a bit awkward without a fence or something to give it context, but they're simple and will do the job kind of sculpt.
  20. They are both rather nice! Both tie in nicely with the new colette style I suppose too.
  21. Somewhere in the depths of this site is my thread, in which I vent this exact frustration. This being said, the Kaeris box went together almost painlessly (save for one gamin with a broken finger which I dont even know how it happened) so there's kits with definite improvement. I still think it's predominantly an issue of overly ambitious models- all those separate, not moulded-on ribbons, cables and three-part limbs. Nekima kit was somewhat problematic in this regard, but for a different reason- the horns and tail and such were so fine and thin that attempts to scrape the mouldlines off were...very cautious for fear of snapping the horns off. It's really a bit of a lottery and by now I always check the construction manual before even considering buying a kit. Which isn't ideal for Wyrd, cause that means no on the spot purchases for anything.
  22. That's hilariously untrue. Their stuff is *on par* with the other high quality resin kits, but that's it. They're just good rather than painfully dull as GW proper has become (with "details" measured in centimeters)
  23. Well, Kaeris comes from Icarus apparently, so..there ya go, name.
  24. As far as I'm concerned, this thing is damage control. It's clear WFB was dying a slow and painful death, with "veterans" already having massive armies and not buying new toys, coupled with a fairly toxic and extremely WAAC community (nothing against powergaming, but when you mix a preexisting veteran base, WAAC tournament obsession and extremely high entry cost, you end up, unsuprisingly, with little in the way of new players). You can claim it's "corporates calling the shots", but if a franchise is profitable, you don't axe it. WFB has been, for all intent, axed with AoS set up as a way to retain some players and lower the entry barrier for noobs. So yeah, the WFB playerbase really has no one to blame but themselves and the only schaden I have for them comes bundled with freude.
