I agree about the weeds on the base. I expect they pop so much because I used ink to shade them, whereas the rest of the model was shaded with GW washes. I will dull it down and the varnish should knock the shine off.

The metals were done with a basecoat of thinned down Vallejo Gunmetal, and then two washes. The first was a mix of Tamiya Clear Orange and Badab Black wash, and the second was a spot wash with a watered down mix of Vallejo Brown and Black inks. Final highlight was Vallejo Silver.

The lighting is a bit too bright. The fleshtones are darker than they appear, and the belly hair is more prominent.

How did you do the metal on the claws?

Thanks. A white primer makes all the difference on these minis, I find.
