TheBugKing
I'm looking for suggestions from you lot. I need to know what you think would be a good starting line up for the LGS to stock. The idea is that I do demos and the store has the crews that are being demoed with there for sale along with a good smattering of other, either box sets or singles to sell. (The book and decks are a no brainer of course) Thanks for the help!
goblyn13
I think the starter boxes would be an excellent starting point, as for the singles that would be tougher, being that it is the start of a new game. The starter boxes are an excellent value for a staring point because the make the box about equal to a free figure (about $8-$10 than buying individually). blkdymnd
yeah, I would lay off any blisters and go pure boxsets, rulebooks, and decks. Show them how "out of the box" the boxsets truly are and then once the thing gets rolling, you can have them introduce some blisters to allow them to customize it up a bit. TheBugKing
Ahh. I was not clear. The LGS does not want to carry the full line right now. As such what Masters do you all think would be a good choice if you had to, say choose 6 or so.
goblyn13
Ahh, In that case, the Easy masters: Ramos Lilith Seamus (at Gencon that was the big winner for the Res) Perdita Rasputina and Teeth ( For some reason everyone loved him) or Lady Justice
dboeren
Six is an awkward number to pick. There are 4 main factions plus Outlaws. I'd either go with five or nine. Six gives one faction an extra box and I dislike faction favoritism by the store. Nine would be great if they are willing.
TheBugKing
I honestly don't know how many they plan to order. All I know is that they want product on hand when the demos happen. Well that and they want my advice on what box sets and possibly what blisters to have in stock. How about this then. Pick one box set from each faction as what you think is the best to start folks on. I'm not very good with the LCD which is why I am asking. nerdelemental
My LGS had great success with ~10 box sets. I'd go two from each faction if they're able. Lady Justice Perdita Seamus Nicodem Ramos Rasputina Pandora Lilith Viktorias Summer and his Teeth. Those seem very popular boxes, offer variety and flexibility for interest. CrazyBones
If you had to go for just one from each I'd go with: Ramos Lillith Seamus Ortegas
EricJ
don't pass up the Lady Justice box and the Seamus box, those two seem to catch the most attention. After that I'd look at Rasputina, Gemlins and Lillith. Those tend to get the most attention in terms of shelf appeal it seems.
Angus Khan
Ok, here goes: Rasputina Ortegas Seamus Lilith Some'r Teeth or Vic twins (...dunno about this one.) Just my two cents.
AoM
Anything but Ramos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, I loves me some Ortegas, Rasputina, Zoraida, Seamus, Nicodem, Viktorias, and Lilith. See? I only showed favoritism to the Guild by listing the Ortegas first. I'm so fair and balanced.
TheBugKing
I'm so fair and balanced. Fair is a stretch. Balanced? Never!
AoM
Fair is a stretch? Really? Me? I'm totally fair. I even gave you reasons why I chose the way I did. Actually, to go for a more balanced crew, Sonnia is my Guild recommendation. Magic, melee, and ranged. That crew does it all (except for beating TBK at Gen Con. ). AoM
I had to go and do that myself. Apparently those who were supposed to do it for me haven't been able to, so I took it upon myself. If you lose a bet, man up.
