supervike
Tom Meier is a very accurate and talented sculptor, who unfortunately bores the hell out of me. I've never been too excited about most of the sculpts I have seen of his, so when I opened up this thread, I expected to be underwhelmed. Oh my...how wrong I was. That is phenomenal! Nathan Caroland
Have to more or less echo Jim here, although technically brilliant and very well done, Tom's stuff just doesn't do it for me normally. This is one of those that breaks the pattern though, and easily.
vincegamer
Very realistic. Especailly like the hips. One question though: is that a bar of soap on the ground? If I were to buy her you can guarantee I'd remove the candle and put her in a shower. Hmmm. Might have to buy another one to manacle her wrists and chain her to a pole ala Andromeda. cdukino
Yes, definatly like this one. I have a few Tom Meier sculpts, which are technically brilliant and make me froth at the mouth as a sculptor. But as a painter... much less so. No fun to paint them. This one however does look like heapes of fun... and ... hurray... he did not dot the eyes... finally.

james9487
This is a beautiful sculpt. Tom Meir rocks. I see why people would not enjoy painting his stuff as much because of the lack of fantasy but I love it. I can't wait to watch that auction for his pirate. Here's the link for those who are interested: Pirate Auction
green stuff
One question though: is that a bar of soap on the ground? I think it's a match box. You can see the match that lit the candle on the ground. The sculpt is flawless and beautiful, but I'm not hooked to the theme and scene. She has greek statue beauty, but like most of them, lacks character (not fantasy) and seems cold in my humble opinion. Looking at it again, I think I found what is bothering me. Her eye line is looking slightly downwards. Some may interprate this as fear and devotion to the fire-demon. I would have prefered her looking into the fire as if facinated yet domininating it (hey, she's the one who summoned it ). *** Yes, I know that I'm being very picky ***
Celtic Lilly
She certainly is perky! I'll be getting this one I think.
Spacemunkie
She's brilliantly sculpted, but I can't think of a miniature I'd less rather paint. Dull, generic fantasy cliche she is. Wish he'd release that Sioux Indian he sculpted. That rocked.
