Specialed1971
While using the Jury my opponent used a card that allowed him to discard to gain Focus +1. The Jury courtroom scrutiny says may not take the focus or defensive stance actions. So does that block his gained.
3 Ludvig
Depends on the wording of the action/abilitt but it sounds like the model does not take the action named focus so would be allowed to gain the condition even while near the Jury. There is a difference between the actions and the conditions gained from said action. I often see people get confused a lot by models that gain defensive in unique ways since that sometimes means it has a different end point than taking the action defensive stance. 0 Adran
Not being allowed to take the (1) focus action does not mean you can't gain the focus condition as long as the way gained wasn't the focus action ( I guess your opponent had the I pay better upgrade, which would just give them the condition with out the need to take the action, so they are fine getting it even near the jury. )
