Grootslang Lair to Lair & Interact

DocSchlock

Question

Lair to Lair, when used, says "This model may not take Interact Actions this turn."

Is this a blanket statement in that the model cannot take Interacts at all this turn, even before LtL,  or they cannot take Interact actions after Lair to Lair?

Logically, it should be the latter, but it doesn't say "until the end of the turn" or "for the rest of the turn" which would bound the interact prevention timing correctly, which is where it gets nebulous.

Since there are precedents for retroactively making stuff illegal like Huggy with death contract who should technically be able to choose an order to resolve his abilities to both die and not die I would guess this works the same way so if you already took an interact you can't lai to lair because the would retroactively make the interact illegal.

Game rules are not enforced using time travel or retroactive enforcement.

Keep in mind that it's a (1) AP action in a game where Obey exists.  Do you want to be informed that you have cheated and will be disqualified because you performed an Interact before Perdita Obeyed your Grootslang to use Lair to Lair?

That's why the game rules are not enforced retroactively.

But the game rules are enforced retroactively as evident by the faq to Schrödinger's Huggy. That is a clarification of the rules and not an errata that makes you pick one of two legal effects. I would assume this is the same so you just can't take the Lair to lair, no need to disqualify anyone.
