Je ne c'est LaCroix
Still haven't managed to figure out if Henchmen can hire Totems? Was looking at some posts on Henchman Hardcore and some listed Totems in the crew list. p54 of the big book states: Totems are emblems of a Master's power on the battlefield. A Totem only takes the field when beckoned by its Master. When a Henchman is the Leader, can it hire a non-Master specific Totem? Thanks! The bit about a master beckoning their totem is fluff. Question 26 from the FAQ: "26) If a Henchman is leading a Crew, can a totem be hired? Yes. There is some fluff description about masters beckoning totems, but the totem rules are in the second paragraph of the entry. A Henchman leading a Crew may hire a totem. However, keep in mind that most totems can only be hired by a specific Master, so Henchmen will need to look at the generic totems. 0 HydroMog
pg 64 of the small rulebook: a crew may only hire one model with the totem characteristic. in addition, some totems characteristics list a master...only crews lead byt the listed master may hire these totem models. so in short yes you can hire a totem with a henchman as the leader. but the totem may not be a masters totem.
